After a rather tough play, U21 El Salvador's Gilberto Rivas got a free kick in the 15th minute. Vladimír Andres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidel Robles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Salazar in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Laštovka saved U21 Czech Republic from getting behind. In the 91st minute Karel Růžička shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Robles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobias Kaleja in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidel Robles saved U21 El Salvador from getting behind. 97 minutes into the game, one of U21 Czech Republic:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. U21 Czech Republic:s Jan Laštovka showed great skill when he stopped Jonathan Bermudez:s penalty. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Czech Republic fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 El Salvador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
