Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vidar Kjartansson made the kick off which started today's match. Norway's attentive Kjetil Wiken managed to snatch the ball when Arman Hansson made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birk Gudbrandsen got free with Arman Vestlund in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute Norway were awarded a corner. Birk Gudbrandsen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Norway's Jan-Ivar Haugvaldstad getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Rasmus Ekeroth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Vidar Kjartansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odd Rydland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norway's Birk Gudbrandsen got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sweden's Arman Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Askvik in the 25th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Per Askvik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sweden's Arman Vestlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Per Askvik came free, but Arman Vestlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidar Kjartansson in the 32nd minute of play forced Norway's goalkeeper Odd Rydland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Norway's Birk Gudbrandsen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, Sweden's Rasmus Ekeroth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Odd Rydland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Per Askvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arman Vestlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rasmus Ekeroth's late challenge caught a Norway's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rasmus Ekeroth helped the player get up and apologised. Rasmus Ekeroth hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Norway got a freekick which was hit by Kjetil Wiken. The supporters of Sweden booed when Norway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. August Hall didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Birk Gudbrandsen made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Norway's goalkeeper Odd Rydland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rasmus Ekeroth. Sweden's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Siggesson in the 58th minute. In the 60th match minute, Norway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjetil Wiken to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Norway got a freekick which was hit by Kjetil Wiken. Norway's Odd Rydland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Norway from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Birk Gudbrandsen made a precise shot to the right of Arman Vestlund. Sweden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Norway's Kåre Hussain was substituted for Valdemar Thorud. 73 minutes into the match, Norway's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatan Svensson came free, but Odd Rydland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sweden's Arman Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espen Nese in the 74th minute of play. Arvid Hult who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Odd Rydland when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arman Vestlund came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Norway's Jan-Ivar Haugvaldstad. But to his dismay, Jan-Ivar Haugvaldstad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Norway's Joachim Tjelle was substituted for Hans-Kristian Larsen. Norway's Mads Malmin was substituted for Per Askvik. Arman Vestlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Tjelle in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Sweden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Edvin Bark to maneuver through the defense. Odd Rydland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvid Hult in the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Norway's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Hult came free, but Odd Rydland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norway were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sweden for a fine match.
