Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Divyaprabhava Pujari kicked off to start the match. The U21 Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when U21 Portugal's Xavier Bomba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Xavier Bomba sped through U21 India's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iqbal Johl. Iqbal Johl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, U21 Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Marques to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Xavier Bomba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iqbal Johl was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When U21 Portugal's Xavier Bomba in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xavier Bomba in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iqbal Johl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xavier Bomba came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the U21 Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Bomba couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavier Bomba in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iqbal Johl saved U21 India from getting behind. Xavier Bomba kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Heitor Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Heitor Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iqbal Johl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavier Bomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 48th minute, Xavier Bomba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xavier Bomba to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Xavier Bomba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iqbal Johl was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Hariraja Sirjoshi's late challenge caught a U21 Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hariraja Sirjoshi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, U21 India's Hariraja Sirjoshi got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Iqbal Johl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Bomba's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Xavier Bomba had several of the U21 India's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Iqbal Johl as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Xavier Bomba sped through U21 India's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iqbal Johl. Iqbal Johl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Bomba's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Xavier Bomba in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iqbal Johl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Nuno Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Bomba's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Iqbal Johl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 81st match minute, U21 Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idalécio Sales to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, U21 India's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Bomba came free, but Iqbal Johl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iqbal Johl came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Portugal's Xavier Bomba. But to his dismay, Xavier Bomba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. In the 88th minute, Nuno Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heitor Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Xavier Bomba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iqbal Johl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Xavier Bomba put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Iqbal Johl. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U21 Portugal had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
