Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nencho Bliznakov in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaromír Dražan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Czech Republic's Jaromír Dražan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nencho Bliznakov in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Nencho Bliznakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vaklin Boychev had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Petr Till from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Czech Republic were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Bulgaria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miloš Bartůněk took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Miloš Bartůněk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vaklin Boychev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jaromír Dražan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanislav Ruzhinov in the 34th minute of the match. Jaromír Dražan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nencho Bliznakov's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 48th minute Yanislav Ruzhinov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaromír Dražan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Petr Till made the kick off in the second half. Jaromír Dražan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nencho Bliznakov in the 51st minute of play. Jaromír Dražan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nencho Bliznakov in the 52nd minute of the match. Vlastimil Jebavý hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Czech Republic's Petr Till in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bulgaria's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petr Till in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaklin Boychev saved Bulgaria from getting behind. In the 62ndth minute of the game Petr Till who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bulgaria's Vaklin Boychev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miloš Bartůněk to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Nencho Bliznakov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaromír Dražan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Bulgaria's Bocho Atzkov was substituted for Nencho Bliznakov. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vlastimil Jebavý hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Yanislav Ruzhinov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jaromír Dražan, 0-4. A collision led to Bulgaria getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Zhelyo Dzhikov hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Petr Till shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaklin Boychev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnošt Hoza hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnošt Hoza to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute of the match, Yanislav Ruzhinov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jaromír Dražan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Bulgaria booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Kadeřábek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yanislav Ruzhinov got free with Jaromír Dražan in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vlastimil Jebavý received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vaklin Boychev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Dencho Glishev notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Czech Republic's Jaromír Dražan. Jaromír Dražan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Petr Till came free, but Vaklin Boychev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlastimil Jebavý's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vaklin Boychev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Vlastimil Jebavý hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Czech Republic's Jaromír Dražan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bocho Atzkov in the 92nd minute of play. Yanislav Ruzhinov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Jaromír Dražan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 96th minute Petr Till shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaklin Boychev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bulgaria eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
