An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziyad El-Domani in the 3rd minute of play forced U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Jonathan Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Salvatore made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Seddeq Aino sent off a good shot on target. Riad Fahmy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emam Gameel lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Emam Gameel kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes U21 Argentina got a freekick which was hit by Walter Kannemann. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Joachim during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Adolfo Joachim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Salvatore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akram Basem in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Silverio Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riad Fahmy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U21 Egypt getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Akram Basem hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Basem El-Saeed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Argentina's Adolfo Joachim couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for U21 Egypt. In the 44th minute Akram Basem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The U21 Egypt players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Argentina were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Akram Basem made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, U21 Egypt's Magdy Aino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Alfredo Pellegrino scored 0-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Riad Fahmy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55th minute, U21 Argentina's Alfredo Pellegrino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. U21 Argentina made a substitution. Marcelino Poz replaced Alfredo Pellegrino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovani Lo Celso got free with Riad Fahmy in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Egypt's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Giovani Lo Celso scored to the left of an out of position Riad Fahmy, making the score, 0-4. U21 Egypt's Riad Fahmy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Egypt from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Giovani Lo Celso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Riad Fahmy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 75th match minute, U21 Egypt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aebeed Ramez to maneuver through the defense. Riad Fahmy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Lo Celso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Riad Fahmy made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Giovani Lo Celso sent off a good shot on target. Giovani Lo Celso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Riad Fahmy came out and tried to block the shot, but Giovani Lo Celso slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 94th minute. U21 Argentina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
