The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benamar Naït Mazi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jørn Wøien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After taking down the ball on Algeria's corner Abdelhakim Cohen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Odd Rydland quite easily take care of the ball. Fayssal El Ouazzani took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Odd Rydland.
