U21 Brazil's Hélio Manarov got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the game, Loic Dowdy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bat Man was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loic Dowdy in the 11th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Bat Man to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hélio Manarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's Hélio Manarov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trinidad Plummer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When U21 Brazil's Emanuel Ceresso in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Canada's goalie prevented a goal. U21 Canada's Gerald Atkinson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bat Man in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Weston Dale in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bat Man prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's goal looked a bit too open when Loic Dowdy came free, but Bat Man reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Trinidad Plummer managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when U21 Brazil's Hélio Manarov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Canada's zone, Hélio Manarov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trinidad Plummer came out of the goal and Hélio Manarov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Gerald Atkinson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bat Man was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Hélio Manarov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trinidad Plummer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

U21 Canada's Will May was substituted for Malcolm Robitaille. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Weston Dale made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélio Manarov in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trinidad Plummer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute U21 Canada were awarded a corner. Gerald Atkinson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gerald Atkinson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Brazil's Bat Man did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Weston Dale in the 58th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Bat Man to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When U21 Brazil's Hélio Manarov in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Canada's goalie prevented a goal. Maximilien Jacques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Bat Man made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximilien Jacques got free with Bat Man in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Hélio Manarov made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trinidad Plummer was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Brazil made a substitution. Adriano Ribeiro replaced Hélio Manarov. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Remo da Fonseca replaced Marcos Rocha. 76 minutes into the match, Adriano Ribeiro notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of U21 Canada's Trinidad Plummer. Trinidad Plummer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trinidad Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Adriano Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trinidad Plummer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, U21 Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Ribeiro came free, but Trinidad Plummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's goal looked a bit too open when Weston Dale came free, but Bat Man reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to U21 Brazil getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Waldir de Andrade hit a great ball. In the 91st match minute, U21 Brazil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Teles to maneuver through the defense. Maximilien Jacques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bat Man having to interfere. Pedro Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseu Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U21 Brazil getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Eliseu Secco hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. U21 Brazil were victorious despite being under pressure from U21 Canada for much of the match.
