Flor Maiz lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 26th minute, Flor Maiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When U21 Colombia's Llorienzo Huera in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugen Oltean stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Oltean in the 68th minute of play forced U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Efrain Sanchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, U21 Romania's Horaţiu Săndoi got control of the ball when Ferman Ezquibela tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugen Oltean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Ferman Ezquibela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Ştefan Tănase got a free kick in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goalkeeper Horaţiu Săndoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Llorienzo Huera. When the match was over U21 Colombia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 Romania throughout the match.
