An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxence Delbecq in the 16th minute of play forced Tunisia's goalkeeper Ahmed Ghigani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by France's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mohamed Bachraoui was slow to take the kick. During this time Tunisia's players had a chance to rest. Maxence Dubief showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Issam Jouili in the 22nd minute of the match. The corner led France's Maxence Delbecq to fire away a dangerous shot which Ahmed Ghigani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Désiré Frangeul to maneuver through the defense. Zoubeir Mzali struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Maxence Dubief didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tunisia. 32 minutes into the match, Tunisia's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Prime came free, but Ahmed Ghigani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tony Prime in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmed Ghigani saved Tunisia from getting behind. When France's Tony Prime in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tunisia's goalie prevented a goal. 39 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxence Dubief had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Issam Jouili. In the 42nd minute, Issam Jouili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tunisia getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Issam Jouili hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, France's Jacques Lacassagne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmed Ghigani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmed Ghigani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacques Lacassagne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. France made a substitution. Flavian Lebon replaced Dave Lavault. Flavian Lebon made a great header on France's corner, it was just that Tunisia's Ahmed Ghigani managed to reach the ball for a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Ben Aïssa to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmed Ghigani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacques Lacassagne in the 55th minute. France's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavian Lebon in the 57th minute. After taking down the ball on France's corner Flavian Lebon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ahmed Ghigani quite easily take care of the ball. Ahmed Ghigani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jacques Lacassagne showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. If Désiré Frangeul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Hamed Mourali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tunisia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamed Mourali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute of the match, Samy Caroff tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ahmed Ghigani saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Samy Caroff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmed Ghigani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Tunisia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammed Sellimi to maneuver through the defense. Flavian Lebon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmed Ghigani having to make a save. Maxence Dubief showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Issam Jouili in the 86th minute of the match. Ahmed Ghigani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samy Caroff's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute of the match, Samy Caroff got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ahmed Ghigani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. France were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Tunisia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavian Lebon took the corner. After taking down the ball on France's corner Flavian Lebon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ahmed Ghigani quite easily take care of the ball. After 94 played minutes Tunisia got a freekick which was hit by Issam Jouili. After a defensive mix-up in Tunisia's zone, Samy Caroff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmed Ghigani came out of the goal and Samy Caroff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute, Samy Caroff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The France players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tunisia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
