Pacôme Musso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry McWalrick having to make a save. U21 Scotland's Harry McWalrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pacôme Musso in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Pacôme Musso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry McWalrick was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pacôme Musso got free with Harry McWalrick in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harry McWalrick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pacôme Musso in the 15th minute. Pacôme Musso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry McWalrick having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Pacôme Musso could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Harry McWalrick however easily saved by the left post. In the 23rd minute, Innes McKnight hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, U21 Scotland's Harry McWalrick got control of the ball when Joe Absalon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Joe Absalon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harry McWalrick, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacôme Musso in the 28th minute of play forced U21 Scotland's goalkeeper Harry McWalrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pacôme Musso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry McWalrick having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 France's goalkeeper Georges Tapie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harry McWalrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Absalon, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When U21 France's Joe Absalon in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Pacôme Musso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes U21 France got a freekick which was hit by Pacôme Musso. In the 55thth minute of the game Pacôme Musso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Scotland's Harry McWalrick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Pacôme Musso put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Harry McWalrick. 59 minutes into the match, Pacôme Musso notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of U21 Scotland's Harry McWalrick. Harry McWalrick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After taking down the ball on U21 France's corner Bob Curt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harry McWalrick quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to U21 Scotland getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Joseph Fife hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Salim Landeau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry McWalrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute U21 France were awarded a corner. Bob Curt went to the cornerflag to take it. Harry McWalrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salim Landeau in the 85th minute of the match. If Rob McClure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 France fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Scotland had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
