Defending against wing tactic

So soon I am playing a team that uses the wing tactic and their results seem that the tactic is very effective. What is the best formation to defend against a wing tactic? Do you have to defend with 5 wide defenders? Or can I just play with my normal formation which is 3-5-2? Definitely need to be playing a back 4 or 5. There's is many different wings tactics though so there's no one good tactic against all.Definitely need to be playing a back 4 or 5. There's is many different wings tactics though so there's no one good tactic against all.

Hahahaha love this topic. Game strikes again. Wing tactic is far superior. You have to adapt to wing play. However wing playing managers don't have to adapt to you. It can be countered if you change tactic for every single game. Be pixel perfect and have great players. Then even then the odds still aren't in your favour You may aswell join them. You won't hear from all these wing managers that it's beyond broken. They'll just try and tell you hoe you counter it bro.Hahahaha love this topic.

Wing tactic is far superior. You have to adapt to wing play. However wing playing managers don't have to adapt to you.

It can be countered if you change tactic for every single game. Be pixel perfect and have great players. Then even then the odds still aren't in your favour

You may aswell join them. You won't hear from all these wing managers that it's beyond broken. They'll just try and tell you hoe you counter it bro.

I mainly play short passing tactics and you won't hear me complain about wing tactics. Here new manager came to ask help and we provided such tactics that actually are useful against wing tactics. If you aren't able to understand that stronger team usually wins weaker team even if weaker team tries to counter their play style we should all together get rid of our players and start to play actual rock, paper, scissors to decide the scores of the matches. That only would tho remove 80% of the gameplay we have here as team building is center piece of it. In current state of the game we already have somewhat rock, paper, scissors aspect in the game when short passing wins wide defense lines and wing play narrow defense lines. Then as manager you should decide what you are using against your oppoments play style if you counter their attack and defense you get better odds in winning but they wont guarantee you win as their team might be still full of super stars and those 95-3-2 odds shifted to 85-10-5 odds cos you got the tactical advantage.
