National Cup from Colombia

Hi crew member, My name is Juan Carlos, I am from Colombia, manager from Atlético Municipal, a team who plays in 2.9 in my country. I am writting this in the name of all the colombian comunity, because we want to play National Cup 18, 21, 23 and senior with 8 groups. However, today the sistem programm groups with many teams, at about 9 ó 10, instead 4 ó 5. We thing the national cup will be more excting and could be estimulate to many managers to play that cup with 8 groups with 4 o 5 teams. Tweaking National Cup group size to 4 instead of 5 that it is today is good point. Playing mini leagues feels sometimes bit over the top and playoff bracket way to small for National Cup. 4 Group braking point is at 20 participants 8 Group braking point is at 40 participants Dropping the group size by one would make it easier get more groups and more interesting brackets in playoffs 4 Group breaking point would be at 16 participants 8 Group breaking point would be at 32 participants Also the big mini leagues would be dropped out as if you dont make it to the next breaking point for more groups the group size would be 7 to 8 instead of 9 to 10. Both Colombia and Finland is close to these points but atleast for Finland we every season 1 or 2 teams short Current participants Colombia 34 getting groups of 8,8,9,9 Finland 18 getting groups of 9,9 With the suggested 4 team groups both countries would get more groups and more interesting cup action. Another question what is the deciding factor that how these group numbers are decided? Division Cup has 4 team groups Generations Cup has 4 team groups There is some cups with 4 team groups so please could we also consider moving National Cup to these 4 team group tournaments. That´s a good point of view. Colombia and Finlandia are in the same position You made a good questions. you said the follor "Another question what is the deciding factor that how these group numbers are decided?" So we ask the same thing. ¿what´s the deciding factor? We sugeest 8 groups with 4 ó 5 teams. In Finlandia, may you could play with 4 groups with 4 ó 5 teams per each gropu.

I totally agree with Juan and Jere92 For us as a country without some many users, it's better to have more groups with fewer teams in these groups, instead 4 groups with seven teams. I suggest to the crew. If a National Cup has 32 users that join the cup, you can create 8 groups like the World Cup. If Colombia´s teams join 40 people to the national cup, this means for us that we have 5 groups of 8 each one, so it is better for us to have 8 groups because It's more attractive and more competitive.I totally agree with Juan and Jere92

I agree with Mateo. Also, we will play round of 16. That could be bether than quarter final. Thank you very much to improve the competition for us.

I support this idea. Also cups like division top league-div1 latinoamerica have groups of 8 or 9 teams and only one can advance...I support this idea. Also cups like division top league-div1 latinoamerica have groups of 8 or 9 teams and only one can advance...
