Transfer Market Suggestions:

Two thoughts on what I consider zero risk/ high UX reward improvements that could be made to the current transfer market.

Interested on feedback?

1. Hide player from results function. Eg. I run a query (looking for a specific profile) and a bunch of players I’m not interested in return - ability to exclude from future results.

Easiest options here which I think are non polarising - either exclude for duration of their current listing (they show again if relisted) or exclude for a set period of time. An option to exclude forever also great IMO but I anticipate objections to this.

2. If a player is listed for under a set amount (say 1000 GBP) and doesn’t sell a rule that prevents them from being relisted for a set amount of time (say 30 days). Thus removing clutter from domestic searches.

i like option 1 but i am a little afraid of cheat in future when no one watch the bad players :P

option 2 well, the managers are paying a fee for puting those garbages on the market

Valid points. My builds below:

1. I think 1 is okay given the scout feature now means you’re unlikely to exclude anyone with high potential.

2. This is true, although I can only feel that listing the same failing players multiple times is in some way a means to smokescreen/ crowd the marketplace. And thus to your point on cheating, arguably more important to review.

maybe if the player was on the market in the last 30days the Fee could x2 each time

We need to be able to omit certain players from the market.

I don’t think you should be able to list a player for less than his salary. It doesn’t make sense. Effectively every player is worth their salary because that’s what you pay them every week. Selling a player for less that that costs you money and you should have just discarded them in the first place to save one more weeks payment.

E.g. player has a salary of 10k. You list him for three days for $1 and he doesn’t sell at all. Player should automatically be discarded for his salary or half his salary. The player then won’t be continued to be listed and instead of discarding a player you at least get something and don’t pay his salary that week.

I agree with your reasoning. I can at tell you why I sometimes list players for 1€. In Norway we don't have an active transfer marked. I have one of the best U21-teams and regularly need to get rid of players that didn't become anything. They are sometimes worth nothing. That doesn't mean they aren't worth a lot to another team, so by giving away players for free I feel like I'm helping these other teams get players that otherwise would just be deleted from the game.

Then again. It's not a huge difference between 1€ and a shitty players salary. Everybody can afford that if they want to. I guess I'm fully agreeing with you on this one.

Yeah every season I get bunch of not enough potential for me candidates from my youths and put them for two days to market with 101€ as "free agents". If they sell they leave on friday and If they dont I fire them on friday before their first salary.

Maybe there could be some free agent listing where you could place your player instead of firing them. Player would leave your team and you don't get any money placing players there. If one would want player from there they could buy one with their weekly salary or some other price. If player is bought from there the team that put The player there would get minor payment for the player. There could be restrictions how many players team can get from there and how long The players stay free agents until they end their career. Players put into The free agent listing would train random skill without coach ofc.

Maybe this kind of solution would decrease the none wanted players on transfer market and put them into their own place for someone to look for hidden gems maybe.
