It has its advantages and disadvantages like most tactics I guess. Disadvantage is it creates a lot of distance between the midfielders and strikers. That’s makes for more opportunity to be tackled and longer passes more likely to get intercepted and harder to control.
Advantage is they are closer to goal when receiving the ball and less likely to pass the ball so can shoot more
