Player Intelligence Training

Badge image
Hi,

Having been back a few weeks now from a long hiatus (reckon its about ten years), I've come to notice that the players I've got training PI seem to be showing much less of a positive return each training day than those who are working on the more glamorous activities, ie Shooting/Tackling.

I wasn't convinced this was the case until I sent three youths to training camp - the speed and stamina training rates were top notch but the PI was significantly lower for all three (one was literally near the bottom of the training list). For clarification, the players I sent have 1, 1 and 2 for PI, so they shouldn't be anywhere near maxed.

Is this a thing now? Am I being unreasonably paranoid? Or is my 6-ball PI coach on the training field a bit of a fraud?

It's been a thing for as long as I can remember. Player Intelligence generally trains slower than other skills like shooting/passing/tackling etc.

PI and Keeping are the two slowest skills to train. I also think I read something a while back that youth tend to train PI slower than seniors but not sure if this is still the case.

youths and young players always train PI slower, its been like that and 10 years ago
when they get 6-7 experiense then train it normal like other skills
for me its a waste to send a youth to PI camp when he will gain more at any other skill(without keeping)
