This game is evil

Today, I was to play the crucial match for the 1st place in my division, I was waiting it for weeks, I prepared an awesome formation. And then my best defender gets direct red card in 5th minute of the match. This game is evil.

It can be cruel but you just have to take it on the chin!

Discard the defender to prevent this happening again.

Would you be complaining if it was your oppositions defender being sent off? šŸ˜‰

I wouldn't be complaining, he would be complaining, and I would be dissatisfied, because I wanted to see whose team was better, and now I will never have the chance.

Why donā€™t we have a sim where no one gets sent off or booked. That way no one will moan about sending offs.

Also while we are at it, why donā€™t we have a sim where I always win? I donā€™t think this is unreasonable!

Itā€™s amusing how the only forum activity is people complaining about something. Some positive posts or general game chat would be lovely now and then

If we have a sim where no one can be in offside, where player height and weight and preferred foot doesn't matter for the gameplay, why wouldn't we have a sim without red cards.

I don't give a __ for the result or win, as a manager I want to see how my team performs.

Well sometimes your team lets you down with ill discipline.

I have a wee theory that some players are prone to bad behaviour in this game. I notice it more in Uxx level. The same players foul, yellows and reds. Genuinely itā€™s the same 3/4 players that do it! Btw into not just defenders with would be a easy observation!

Yea I understand the sim is not perfect. In reality it should take in to consideration L/R both feet when it comes to positioning. Weigh and height regarding speed and aerial prowess. What crew can do to alleviate this issue is just remove the display of foot height and weight!

I feel your pain, I think with COVID the world has decided to be more negative!

Happend to me once in the cup finale and I lost it. Straight red in 5th minute and game over . It's like bingo. But I have to say the red for my rivals saved my a... few times :D

Since not playing ā€œcommittedā€ and only ā€œnormalā€ Iā€™ve seen a big decrease in cards in my U18 team.

Cards are prevalent in U18 level especially as players of that age have the least Player Intelligence, experience and stamina which all contribute to increase of cards

Maybe there are secret traits which make players more prone to bad behavior, but secret traits would not be fair to managers, I need to know what each player is like. I can't just assume that my MVP player and best defender is prone to committing red cards and to remove him from the team, I need to know not just assume.

The sim is far from perfect, and I can't understand why is it so hard to program offside, playing with right or left foot, player height and weight influencing his jump or strength or speed, etc, but on the other hand it is so easy to program a random yellow or red card.

You ask for it to be more like football and certain players being prone to cards more than others is exactly that. In real football some players are a lot more likely than other yo get cards. I have about 4 regularā€™s those are carded higher than others.

Ways to overcome these can be by setting ā€œrulesā€ in your tactics for these payers to be subbed if carded, sub them more frequent in general, move them to another position less prominent to cards when carded etc.

I play normal or passive at u18 level for those said reasons.

It just one of those things where you have to take notes and tally up stats. Fortunately in MZ we have far more games than in RL so we should be able to understand easier which players are the Suarez of the game and which are the Gary Linekers.

But as said remove the foot, height and weight data and itā€™s no longer a question or issue. Very simple fix.

The game is pretty solid with regard to implementing the offside rule. The reason you think players are playing off side is that you're not looking at what happens with your wing back. It's interesting but watch some games and you will see what I am talking about.

When an opposing team attacks you on the counter, for some strange reason, the full backs are always programmed to play the opposition on side even when the center of the defence is playing the forwards of the attacking team off side. With a back five the three center defenders will all push up without the two lateral defenders. With a back four it is the two central defenders, in a back three it is the central defender plus one defender either side of him.

On rare occasions I have seen an opposing player caught offside with all defenders in line. This usually happens after a goal kick is intercepted by the opposition who then kicks a long ball to the isolated striker(s)

I sold a player a couple of weeks ago who would get red cards wherever I played him. Even in central midfield. The ones that are even weirder are strikers that get red cards often

That is why I said there is no offside.

This defender got only one card in three months, and thet was this direct red card in 5th minute, and I even play with normal aggression.

It should have been a derby of the season and a joy to watch, but it was just deleted for me.
