Both games you were dominated in stats. It’s quite common Cup matches in the knockout stages going into extra time. This is where stamina is very valuable. I can’t see your whole team but I know one of your players who had 7 stamina played the entire match. Naturally by then he wouldn’t be walking, not sure what the rest of your side is like. Both results were quite normal. FC Mims is a top league team and Ivan is crew and always has a solid team. I don’t think you were hard done by at all

So let's say a team sells up mid way through a cup but just because they were "predetermined" their youth still go on to win the cup no matter what? He has the right to his own opinion, and to be fair; results really do seem predetermined at times. I am not saying that they are, but I have lost 90% of cup matches, either 0-1, 1-2 or 2-3. More shots, less shots, better tactics, always the same. And that is horrible, it's annoying, it's not fun. That's why we don't like this SIM. It more aggravating than fun, it keeps letting us down even with good tactics, flow, it always comes crashing down unexpectedly. I refer to this SIM as the "destructive SIM", the SIM that doesn't want anyone to win, where logical changes doesn't really matter, and where the team with least bad luck will somehow take the trophy after 10 games without changing tactics. Fair enough. I would agree with you, but will be two talking non sense. I Could bring lot of recently games when the result is far too distant from the statistics, and not only, but distant of the effort put on the game. This kind of game happens all the time, more often in a couple years. If the game don't value the effort to make a good management, study and prepare good tatics, build a strong team, what's the point of all of that?

Don't read too much into the whole "predetermined" thing. It's just a way to express how the whole experience of the SIM feels like. You win the group, you have flow, you have made changes that work, and then you are confident the same tactics will crush your opponents in the games that will really matter. But then you always lose to this 3rd placed Division 4 team, every damn time. Every time! Why did the flow go away, why did this 3rd placed division 4 team suddenly win 3-2? Why did I do this keep happening over and over again? And then you find out... the winner played the same tactic 20 times in a row. Maybe not predetermined then. And again, i don't wanna seems like a want the teams who create more chances win all the games, but is fair win most of them. The weak ones has to put more blood on that and trying something different to make his team better and equalize the game. @blackned: You are right. It should be the weaker teams who should put in an extra effort to win. Right now weaker teams don't have to do anything. Stronger team make changes like 5 defenders against wing, strongest defender against wing. Just to make sure it will be, well... a confident wing. Still... 2-3.@blackned: You are right. Firstly, group stages are usually a lot easier than the knock out stages purely because the teams in your group are usually significantly weaker than yours so whether your a tactical genius or just playing to your strengths your more likely to come away with be a victory but it's not always a guarantee. Secondly, "3rd place division 4 teams" depending on what country they are from should never be underestimated, especially if they are from larger nations like Brazil or Argentina, a lot of them tend to be the equivalent or even better than Elite teams in smaller nations.

Look I’m going to be brutally honest and say any team who considers themselves any good shouldn’t be playing SP or at least not for entire matches. It’s proven wing tactics have a higher percentage of shots on target to goals than SP. more often than not you need to have a lot more shots to score in a SP tactic than wings. Yes there’s plenty of times where you get “simmed” playing with wings too and struggle to score too. If you can’t change the sim like we can’t you must evolve to it and at least play the correct tactics setting yourself up for success.
