Youths/Potential?

How is calculated what potentials will have your youths
somewhere at the old news I read that is 50% chance to have 3 stars youth potential players
I was out oh the game for about 6-7 years, started again few weeks ago
Ordered 23 youths for the new season
Most were crap, and after 11 changes there were
ZERO 4 star players
and total 8 3 star players from 34 attepmts
then rid 20 of them out and took 20 new the second week
rezult
ZERO 4 star players and 6 3 star players, all the rest are 2 stars(crap)
so 23 + 11 +20 = 54 trys and result
BIG ZERO 4 star players
total 16 3 star players(other that half of them have 1 star at speed or stamina)
Everybody that asked have seen 4 star players at the youth, and my % of 3 star pl is about 33, even near close to 50
Wonder why start again and realy think to quit again
also have a yout number 57 at my squad, is with open skills so you can see it all
this player is an isult for every manager
the whole 9 balls and 2 stars at speed and long pass, and unbelievable - 1 star at technique and stamina, and this is not all, he has 1 star of training speed
5-6 years ago when stopped playing because or real life issues and the Great improvement with the palyers loosing balls at age 27(3 years work and money at the dust cause my team was about 28 and just was going to play proper) there were much more players that played this game, I called some friends to start playing again but this youths is really disapointment especially at small countries like mine where the transfer market is 1 page

Firstly, I think that’s the longest sentence I’ve ever seen :p

Secondly, I’m unsure if there’s numbers on how likely you are to get what players but 4 star potential players are somewhat rare and aren’t a regular occurrence. I can relate to what you’ve said as I used the “Youth Customisation” in hockey and got 32 youths at once and not one player had 4 stars in potential. It’s kind of the luck of the draw and with regularly exchanging youth every week you can still build a strong squad.

Having at least one or two completely useless 16 year old youth players with minimal balls, in your case 9 is also very normal.

I’d recommend looking at the thread in “Managerzone Talk” called “Youth Potential Tool”.

On the very first page questions are asked like how many 4 star players did you get and most managers got hardly any, including one manager out of 23 getting one. You’ll learn a lot about the new youth system too and how 3 star players are definitely still very relevant

I have 16 from 23 players with 2 stars, all useless for me
read somewhere at the old news that the players with 3 star are about 50%
mine is 33 from 54 players, is not normal for me
give me a reason to keep that youths, will you keep them?
and for most of us the youths is the reason to play the game
Yes already exchange 2 and there were another 2 with 2 stars
As I say I took 23 youths, fire them, took another 20 the second week and the same result
other than half of my six 3 star players are with potential at set plays and header, this is luck ok, but 54 trys and nothing to keep is dissaster

Yes the last 2 week I`m stacked at home and probably have a look at EVERY player that was at the market, and really have learn how many from the 3 star players can be top players(10%)
As I say, every player that have asked have at least 1-2 four star players, KNow one with four of them, mine is realy not good - ZERO from 54

That really depends on what you consider a top player. I’m building an U23 team and I have at least 5 decent 3 star players and some are even 3 HP 1 LP and they will still be very competitive in Uxx leagues.

None are what I’d consider top players or ever will be but as a new team you aren’t needing that anyhow. In the last 10 seasons I’ve probably only produced 1 player I’d consider “top” from my youth academy

for more than 10 seasons at the past never had a top player from my youths, even that had always the maximum amount of youths, and train all unmaxed at trainign camps
dont play the Uxx leagues as have been away for 6-7 years but with those youths will not even think to try to be just sparing partner for the others
I know that 3 HP players can become great players, currently have only 6 from 23(no idea if its normal), 2 of them have 1 LP at speed and 2 of them 2 LP at stamina
will you train them at TC, me not
I`m not new team, as I said have been away and start again with 40mln euros and trying to make a good team, have buy really good 4 star players with the skills that need and not bad maxes, but the youths, as I say fired them the first week, took another 20 and the same, may be worst, the only good things for the secont try is that can send them all at youth condition capm and most have high training speed but looking the reports only 1 can become good(not top) player

I too have never had a 4 star player show up in my youth academy. Looking at my current players with scouting reports 2 of 43 have 4 HP (1 2LP, 1 1 LP), both purchased through the market. The majority have 3 HP (19 2 LP, 12 1 LP). Several of these 3 HP players are developing into very good players, a few are even in my senior squad now. I believe that the percentage of 4 HP players is very very low on purpose. But 3 HP players can still develop into very good players.

Below are three of my more recent youths. The top two are 2H/1L and the third is 3H/2L. If you are active at the U18 level there is hope even for those with low potential. Granted, none of these players would make my senior team.

14 with 3HP from 54 all the rest are 2 HP
this is my youth academy, read at news that the 3 HP players are about 51%
mine are far far away from that, market is market, youths are youths
its just killing all the fun from playing that game for me
will never send a 2HP player at TC
