transfer limitations ?

Badge image
I recently placed 18 players up for sale, but only 12 have appeared on the market. My transfer monitor is displaying 18 for sale. No doubt i will pay a fee for all 18..

I recently attempted to sign a player only to be told that as i had already signed two from the same club in the previous thirteen weeks i was unable to bid..

The transfer market is becoming a dead duck, and as Alan Partridge once said; "Nobody watches a dead duck, not even it`s mother. She just flies off depressed"

I just posted some suggestion about this on the spanish forums, I think transfer limitations should depend on the active users from the country. Since for me it put smaller countries at a disadvantage, since the market pool is always limited.

I understand why the rule is in place, but smaller markets should have a more relaxed rule in my humble opinion.

Unfortunately these transfer limits are in place for a good reason and to control misuse. With tours available you can now have a whole foreign team of 11 players if you like.

A long term solution to balance big nations and smaller nations needs to be looked at like possibly smaller nations can sign unlimited foreign players. Two players from one club in a season should always remain though.

Unlimited foreign players isn't a complete solution though, because while you can buy a full squad, the youths you develop will be foreigners for every other nation. So their value for other then the complete top players is nill and limiting transfers makes it even more so.

Fusing certain countries together for national/foreign players might be a step to improve their markets and player pool without touching the foreigners rule, which kills a lot of the money making capabilities from developing players.

Also one step to take would be to add extra transfer fees when a bigger region club buys players from smaller regions. A varying tax depending on the amount of active teams or player count in those added to the sales would help them develop and keep their talent. A healthy market and youth development system which depends on being able to sell those players go hand in hand for me. Both playing the market and developing youths are central and fun elements of the game and being on a smaller reigion limits those, limiting the fun.

"Two players from one club in a season should always remain though." What is the abuse this tries to avoid? I mean if a coutnry has 2 or 3 active users, they could only buy 4 or 6 potential national players.

The measures are in place to stop cheating, not to limit how many national players a team can have.

We had a (tiny) conversation about this on the Belgian forum as well. It's indeed to stop cheating but the cooldown period seems to be a tad too long. Shortening it might be helpful.

I was a fan of 3 foreigns only even for 3rd World in MZ like Ireland, having 9 or even 11 if you complete one of the tour ruined:

Transfer Market: We fire players often who max quickly without even putting them on market, it's rare to get a player for your starting 11 on the same level as the foigners are which you bought. Irish market is completely dead because of this high amount of foreigners. We don't need to focus on training any more, because you can go shoping with your millions.

National team u21: When we get rid of youths our u21 got worse, I know by my example when player maxes at 7 on any motor skills I usually fire him.

Fun and managing: For the small countries the priority should be just training and provoding great youths etc, once we have 9 or 11 foreigners in the squad all fun was destroyed as many managers prefer just to buy instead of train.

Chucky06, I phrased poorly, I used national refering to nationality, not to them being capped. What I meant is given those limitations the amount of players from your country you can buy in smaller countries is really limited.
