Maximized skills - data collection

Badge image
Hey all,

I'd like to share some data about the skill's maximization chance. It's well known by everyone that a player can maximize a skill in a value between 4 and 10. Well, but the chances are not equally distributed. This explains, for example, why there are fewer players with maximization at 4/10 and many more with 7/8.

I collected some data from transfer market to get these values. Important informations:

1) Speed and Stamina were disregard from this analysis because they suffer from deterioration in 30+ players.
2) The number of players analyzed: 16773, from which were analyzed 47444 maximized skills (2,82 maximizations per player).
3) From those 47444 analyzed skills, 18587 were from Speed and Stamina (disregarded) and 28857 from other skills.

Any doubt, leave a comment, peace!

Interesting that a player is more likely to get 10 balls in a skill than 5.

Good data- thank you :)

Because the 5 ballers get fired, maybe?

Yeah, if a player maxes at 4 quick as a youth he is normally exchanged! If later he is sacked as he has no sale value!

I have to agree that maxed players at 4 are usually exchanged soon, but I don't think this applies for 5+ skills. Thus, the statistical data for 5+ balls is still valid.

Really depends on the skill, I regularly fire players maxed at 5/6 if I consider the skill to be critical and the player can't be sold due to the maxing, so it's not just players exchanged that you have to take into account.

I'd say if you want to do a better analysis, pick a skill that most likely won't get trained until later on and won't be likely to be reason for exchange/firing, for example short passing... what is the distribution of 4 to 10 balls on short passing?

That's an excellent idea!

Just ran it right now. Got the results:

That's really different from my previous data. And probably closer to reality. Thanks for the idea

Forgot to update one value on the image. The correct graph is this one:

wow thanks, nice info :D

This means, for one specific attribute:
- ~17% of the players reach at least 9.
- ~40% of the players reach at least 8.
- ~65% of the players reach at least 7.

Now, if you do the same calculation but for 2 attributes instead:
- ~3% of the players reach at least 9 in both.
- ~16% of the players reach at least 8 in both.
- ~42% of the players reach at least 7 in both.

Yes, and this goes on for 3 abilities with 9 and etc.. We can see how difficult and rare a good player is

Hi,

do you have a collection of such data with corresponding thunders?
I'm just wandering what is a probability for H4,H3,H2 selection, how it looks in specific balls.

Anyway, data is nice, worth to consider :)
