How is the estimated wage calculated in the transfer market? Seeing a massive discrepancy between ‘estimated’ and then given salary when the player arrives.How is the estimated wage calculated in the transfer market?

Last example I purchased a player with a 10k p/w estimate and on arrival was nearer 13k. I’ll capture exacts next transfer but I guess my question is, is this a bug/ is there any reason why they shouldn’t be a near match? Nobody knows how it is exactly calculated and lot of users know it is way off and they hate that system for it. When transfer price goes high than I calculate it myself - I estimate that max. salary could be 0,75% from purchase price. That way it cannot be usually higher than my estimate. So far it has worked out for me! But even than it is way off - sometimes player salary is ~0,5% of purchase price yet sometimes it is ~0,71% of purchase price. Well..l recently bought 2 players for small bucks and their salary is is 2,24% and 1,69% from value. Rough estimate 2,5% than for players bought for small prices?

Haha..I am drinking coffee work and was messing around with salary calculations..did couple of simple calculations to estimate salary. I just summed up transfer price and player value and result was that salary is estimatetly ~0,5% from the sum.
