Hi everyone,
I have no idea is this has ever been discussed, but I will put it out here to see if it is feasible, and as a suggestion.
I may imagine that there are a lot of people who struggle when deciding which players to offload when they bring in a new addition to their squad (for financial purposes and to keep the salary budget reasonable).
Some players are good prospects, but not good enough to occupy a first team spot at the moment, or at least not as good as your other squad members.
This issue might also arise when youths become seniors, and you haven't fully finished developing their skills, but don't want to let them go.
Why not have a loan system in place, that works withing the transfer market, where instead of bidding for a player, with money that the club will keep, you bid for the player's salary. Whomever offers the most salary, will take the player for the rest of the season.
This way you prevent cheating, because the original owner can't receive any money, he just receives the benefit of not losing his player forever, and he will get the financial break of not paying his player's salary during the rest of that campaign.
When it comes to being able to pay a higher salary, definitely bigger teams will have an advantage, but if this is a youth that just graduated in a div 2 or lower team, and such team is not feeling like he can be a starter, I doubt that a higher division team will take a look at him.
When the player comes back to his original team after the loan spell, his salary will adjust according to his value, as is calculated with every other player.
I just want to put it out there and see thoughts and feasibility. I have played this game for a long time and just recently rejoined, and I was wondering why we never had it here, seeing as it is a huge part of real world football.
Cheers,
Jose
