Tierd meter !

Form as a whole should just be scraped from the game or implemented totally different.

It’s too confusing for new managers and even confuses long term managers too.

Agreed. Although, it's not confusing at all when you understand how it works - play exactly 4 friendlies a week and you have a maximum form.

Technically you almost never get a maximum form. You will always end up with 9. For a perfectionist that can be so annoying!

I wrote an idea some time ago. Instead of form I suggest the mood: a skill taking a different value from 1 to 10 every day (or every week). The skill takes a random value and there's nothing a manager can do about it, just organize the tactics consequently. This will make the game simpler, but at the same time will probably make you log in every day.

PS A couple of weeks ago I actually got a player with a 10 in form 😱

I think I can add to that idea.
Instead of calling it "mood" which just means that you are using fussy players, keep it as form.
However, by booking 2 friendlies it should help you reach form 6 maximum, and from thereon, it should fluctuate in response to the "state" of the player.

Sorr, I've forgot to add to that:
1. Form should be by weekly, and could be on trends. i.e. arrow going up +1 (player has gained 1 form) or arrow down - 1, instead of seeing players that just had form 9, now suddenly dropping to 6.

2. their playing form should also influence their training form as well, in the same manner.
