Squad help

So next season I’m prepping to go into league 2. What sort of players shall I look to bring into the team? I would like to get rid of some dead wood and bring my youth through but don’t wanna get relegated. Would also be nice to make some money next season so I can possibly compete in my second season

Try to take a look at the other teams levels first.

But you always need good players for international competitions

How do I see other players squad balls?

You can't see the balls of the opponent unless they share their skills.

Something you can do is estimate their level by comparing values/salaries of the players.

I quickly checked also activity of English Div2 and they had last season ~3 inactive teams per division so you shouldn't do that bad with your current squad either in that level of play.

Something I did when I came back to MZ and started to rebuild my team was to use loyal players. Season Break tour is coming so you should complete it and maybe opt for 300k + 2 loyal players prize for that. 2 loyal players maybe trash or super stars but in your case you have good chances to get improvements for you current squad. I didn't see loyal players as long term plan for my team but still I have 2 loyal players in my current opening 11.

Also I would raise your youth school to max youths for upcoming season to raise good talent for your team.

I see that there were about 3 times more English teams than Norwegian teams in the Division Cup Season 72 - Northern Europe Div2, so I guess that means there are 3 times more active teams in 2nd division. Which means that there are many inactive teams in the English 2nd division. And I also guess that many of the teams are "rebuilding", and thus use an U21 or even youth team. As long as you maintain your team form, you should be able to avoid relegation almost no matter the quality of the player you bring in. Just remember that speed, stamina, PI, and BC are important skills for all outfield players. Tackling for full/centre backs and central/defensive midfielders and shooting for attacking midfielders and strikers. If you chose to play a short passing style, all outfield players should have a decent amount of balls in passing. If you chose to play with wing passing, all outfield players except from your target man and secondary striker (if you have one) should have plenty of balls in aerial passing. And of course heading for your target man. As your target is to not relegate, I'd also get a cheap goalie with at least 9 balls in GK. If you're lucky you may find maxed 9 ball goalies for a few thousand pounds.
