Is it important for my youth players to get match experience?

Does anyone know how experience is built on a player?

If you're more into UXX Leagues, I'd say it is important. Bcoz even though Form is considered important, I've noticed that Experience equally matters, if not more.

Experience is built in 2 ways -

Firstly, as a player becomes old, his experience skill balls rise. This is the normal way.

Secondly, you can accelerate his experience balls growth, by making him play more and more matches. But in this case, it's important to know which matches he should play. Making him play friendlies everyday doesnt work lol. Maybe if he plays League + World League + Some other cups + UXX Leagues, that will increase his Experience very fast.

I've had guys who reached their 9 experience ball at just 24-25 years of age.

Thx bro, @loyalone, my focus is mostly senior and normal country league. For now, I dont care about youth leagues.

Is it good to have a lot of youths to train, for future senior league?

Mention not :)

Again, the answer to your question depends on various factors.

Personally, I train youths only so that they can give me good dividends in the Transfer Market at the age of 21-22, which they do. My current batch of youths have many who will be fetching me a lot soon. But, more often than not, almost 70-80% of the youths turn out to be a waste (some crucial skill will be maxed early).

So, if you want to train them for future Senior league, then keep in mind the following factors -

1) Activity of your Senior League - How active your country's Senior League is, is also pretty important.

For eg, if you have noobs playing in your country (i'm giving a general example, not w.r.t Canada), then what's the use of training a guy and putting him through various paid Training Camps (meaning after he graduates as a youth), when u have no formidable opposition challenging u ? I'd rather prefer to buy players from other teams, or just train my youths on Training Field (as they progress to becoming Seniors).

That way, it's cheap too (no expenditure on TCs), and effective too (bcoz if there's no good rival, then u're anyway winning the title).

2) The amount of youths you have - This is another important factor. If you plan to base your Senior squad on the youths' foundation, then you better have max amount of youths in your Academy.

Bcoz, like i said, more often than not, 70-80% have early maxings. So, the more the number of youths you have, the more the chances of more of them turning out to be good enough to make it to the Seniors team.

In your case, since Canada is a pretty competitive country, I'd say you can rely both on youths and transfers.

I rely more on transfers, because I know hwo to get the best in the market for the cheapest of rates ;) You can't do the same with Training Camps...they aren't really fond of negotiating :D

"Making him play friendlies everyday doesn't work lol."

Question: why not? how do you know? have you tried? How long? What was the result?
it is this the growing algorithm or it is just your opinion?

If I play all games with some youngsters (all friendlies, all League, all others - at least I use some as backups for main team in all matches - because for form/experience doesn't matter if the player play or just stay as backup) they will become overplayed, they will get tired, and finally will go to zero at form.
Ok, I don't care about results or form, I care just to boost experience.
If I will overplay few players for a full season they will got more experience?
From manual we know that doesn't affect training skill (training speed) - a player with zero form, overplayed, have exactly same efficiency on training as one satisfied with 9 balls on form.

From the manual’s explanation on Experience- “An indication of the number of competitive matches a Player has been involved in during their career, contributes to a Player’s overall footballing ability and is therefore an important factor for all Players. High Experience levels can, for instance, enable Players to avoid making bad tackles.”

It’s quite vague but it does mention “competitive matches” which you would think aren’t friendlies.
