Hi Diogon,
Welcome to the club!
Flags can have a very simple and useful usage. Red for attributrs where a player is maxed, green where he can still train, although is over 4 balls, and yellow, well i use yellow as reminder of the suggestions from the scouting. For example i just receive a new youngster, and you scout him, and the scounting suggest he will be got at shooting and passing. They can be used however you prefer, but make most sence this way.

Yellow = HP
Red + Yellow = Maxed HP
Red + Green = LP still training
Red = Maxed

And almost forgot - obviously Green = still training
Of course Green = still training.
