Well, they are called "Welcome" cups because they are intended to welcome new users to the game. You have been a manager for over two months and are no longer considered a new user. Managers are invited to Welcome cups for the first 4-5 weeks of their MZ careers, at that point they are expected to look elsewhere for cup action. :)Well, they are called "Welcome" cups because they are intended to welcome new users to the game. The first known Welcome Cup was started on October 21st 2010. https://www.managerzone.com/?p=cup&sub=info&cid=7499 On the "Cup" page you can search for various cups. In this case I went to Official cups (you can also go to Prized Cups, Cup Pools or Friendly Cups) -> Finished (You can also go to Accepting Entries or In Progress) -> All Cups (You can also go to Joined cups). On Joined Cups / All Cups, you can search for cups. If you type "Welcome Cup", you will find all the Welcome Cups. I typed "Welcome Cup 60", and by that I found all Welcome Cups from season 60, and just wrote lower and lower numbers until I didn't get any results. The first Welcome Cup was Welcome Cup 35-13. The 13th edition of the Welcome Cup in season 35. The number 13 indicates that it was started in the 13th and last week of season 35 :)
