Free agent market

I suggest we do a market for free agents.
It sort of saddens me each time i have to fire a player, knowing that he can't play anymore.
This would give them more chances to shine and evolve, even if they were forgotten.
They wouldn't, of course, be free. I suggest the signing price would be (x) x PlayersSalary
Please give me your opinions, i will listen to all feedback!

If you are firing a player because they are no good why would someone else want them, let alone pay for them?

In the point of view of who fires the player, they're bad, but depending on their stats and age, they could still get a chance, maybe, in smaller leagues.
My point is, we have diferent opinions, and while one can be bad, one can also be good.

Just list the player for €1. Problem solved. That’s basically the same as a free agent market.

Not exactly.
While in the transfer market the player stays in your club (and there's also no guarantee of selling said player)wich could bring up the salary expense, in the free agent market, the player is in no club and not taking any of the previous club's money, while waiting for someone else to "pick" him.

I would love that. However as of now there really wouldn't be many other managers who would sign them. That's on one hand because the MZ simulation isn't variable enough. We only have very few strategical philosophies that lead to success. And on the other hand except for age-restricted leagues there aren't enough different difficulties. Even for a low-division team youth players are enough for the A-team instead of paying salaries for players who are maxed early in essential skills.

In the end it seems like the unemployed players stay in the database anyway. So it would still be nice to have that option, even if less than 1% get signed that way.

I fire 80% of my youths that graduate to seniors as I wouldn’t get more for them than their salary for one more week in my team.

It’s just how it is. With Uxx leagues, there’s no relevance in the game anymore for bad players. With limited foreign spots available in all teams and the cost of visa’s, nobody is going to waste a spot on a bad-average foreigner

Interesting...

It may be redundant for a good team but someone who's coming up may find some secret gems that can bring them up to div 1/2.

I'm for it.
