SUG: Sorting players by position

With big squads I like to sort my players with the numbers, goalies 1-10, defenders 11-20, midfielders 21-30, forwards 31-40. Similar setup in hockey. This makes it easier when seting up tactics and replacing players that was sent to camp or got injured or sold. Problem with this is that it is messy to remember what number a certain player has, which makes it less fun to watch the games. I suggest that managers should be able to choose if a player is GK, def, mid or forw. Then there could be a dot with a certain colour for each position, and also to be able to choose that the players will be shown in the order of GK-def-mid-forw. Then I could have for example nr 7 for the player I think should be nr 7, and 9 for 9 and so on. For me it would be more fun. The only suggestion I’d have to help you determine your players would be number them differently. 1-11 for your starters 21-31 for your 2nd string 41-51 for your third string etc. Then you’d know if a number 2, 22, 42 had the ball you’d know he was your left back and what quality he was without needing colour dots. Same as your 11, 31, 51 you’d know was your main striker. Unfortunately the game wasn’t built around being able to watch matches, that feature has come later and is still a little far behind.The only suggestion I’d have to help you determine your players would be number them differently.

1-11 for your starters
