Few questions about Training my players and tactic play styles.

Badge image
First of all hello to all the admins, I accidentally found this forum page thingy and have been gazing at so many good questions and have developed a few of my own, I'm told the sooner you begin, start a youth academy straight away........How exactly should I train them?, in what balls?(That you guys would use and recommend), where should I send them? and so on etc and overall how should I train my senior team to gain balls really fast? and in what balls?(the most common ones that the you guys would use and recommend)...... so basically everything I need to know about improving my players through training and the most efficient and RIGHT ways that the highly ranked teams are training their players for success. And what are the main play styles that everybody uses like shortpassing, long or wings? normal, passive or attacking? (I went for long attacking and normal don't know if that's right or not)and what are the best formations to use?, I looked at some of the best ones but I'm absolutely discombobulated by the format that the pros use, so If somebody could explain to me the best tactics and styles of play that would be awesome!

I was going to open a thread to talk about this and ask people what they prefer. But we can discuss it here.

There is no rule of how you should train your youths. Because everyone here has his theory.
For me i start with speed and stamina. And when i reach 7 balls (the minimum needed for me to play in my country's top division) i try to train them either on shooting, tackling or passing.

I hire coaches of course, i choose the cheapest ones.
Since the age of 16 till the age of 23 (for some players) i send them every year to the TC.

I have 16 youths and i send them to TC every year.
To fastest way is using coach and TC. There's no other way.

What about which skills are most important to different positions of the players, such as tackling for defender and shooting for a striker

That depend on what tactics you are going to play.

Very briefly as I’m assuming you will be playing short passing tactics as a new player.

Skills in the order of personal preference

Strikers: Shooting/BC/Stamina/Speed/Player Intel

Midfield:
Stamina/Passing/BC/Tackling/Speed/PI

Defenders:
Tackling/Speed/Stamina/BC/Pass/PI

I have been gone from the game for a long time and I know there have been some changes. I am not sure about the game mechanics currently, however, there are some things that I believe I have seen. Everyone plays either short passing or wing passing. No one really plays long passing.

I saw on facebook a review of tactics. You may want to google that. I don't know how old it is and whether it is relevant to the current match engine. But it should help some.

There was a "quick start" guide to new managers somewhere on the forums. That will be a huge help too. You should search the forums for that.

The few things I remember; the game is about managing your finances and having a good financial start. MZ starts each new club in the lower levels to help them build a solid financial foundation. I would recommend getting a full youth academy. This way you can train them in TC and still have enough to play in matches. In the lower levels matches are more about form than about skill (from what i remember). Also you won't need to keep your older players unless they are good (high speed stamina and skill).

The skills needed for position are similar to RL. Everyone needs speed, stamina, ball control, passing, aerial passing and tackling. The only players that really need shooting are strikers and midfielders. The only players that need keeping are keepers. Prioritizing one skill (shooting, tackling, keeping) for players is usually how most attack training as players don't train up as fast as you want, ever.

Best thing is to read, read, read and mind your finances! There are plenty of managers out there willing to help, just ask them.
