Hello,
In the last few weeks i played against many teams that use wing passing.
Every aerial pass is a goal for them. I don't know whats wrong here.
Which tactic should be used here to prevent them from making a cross ?
And how to prevent them from taking the ball with head ?

Hi!
Here are couple of topics useful to read (from 2017):

My logics are telling.. If you don't have any players covering wings in tactic -- they are free to bomb cross balls to goalbox to strikers or they change sides (if defenses run to catch left side, he can pass the ball over field to right side - where player is alone -- from there he can pass ball to striker).
So, to block bombing...
1) block the wings
and/or
2) block strikers -- if they are that accurate, then you need better players?
If wings manage to pass balls to strikers head -- and they score every pass, then your defense is not in right position or is weaker, tired or slower; maybe opponent has tactics to play "head-ball"?
You know there are 3-4 strategies in soccer.
1) I like most Latin American style - enjoyable to watch; they are technical, improvising, brave.
2) Accurate games - where tactics are cautios, high morale, goals come from counter-attacks or from opponent's mistakes. Not much running around, but is very intelligent and nervous.
3) agressive/"feather" games - people play it more rough or play it with very soft legs. Whistles, whsitles.
4) ping-pong; they just keep running and running and running, nobody scores. They don't have good offense, both have strong defenses.
If wings are bothering you, you need stronger defense or make tactics where you have better control over the ball in middle field with technics, intelligence and speed/stamina - so opponent's wings would be useless.
Can you send me a link to wingplay game you want to counter-tactic? I have 10 scouting credits, I can use them to check, am I able to figure out best solution versus it with my current team.

Best score I got versus your wish -- I got 1:2 lose .. He has much stronger team.
Because his strikers are holding more to right, I bit moved defenses to left. If I moved defenses more left or more back - score went worse.
Seems like blocking middle player was important.
I don't know, why my strikers worked best in these positions. Maybe they were annoying for defenses and mids (so far, but so close .. to goal) + was better symmetry/co-work with captain (middle player).

Thank you :)
Why moving defenders more back will make it worse ?

I think it is because midfielder can pass the ball more easily to striker then .
He has better players. So if my defenders are more back, his strikers have speed, they run to open room, get balls and build the goals.Edited: 13-02-2019 04:08
