Hi,
Just wondering if anyone is willing to explain how they come up with a bid price when buying a player in excess of 1 million valuation. I realize age, form, experience, position are factors, but is there a 'quick' rule of thumb you use? Much thanks.

Hello!
I guess it all depends... maxed/unmaxed skills, age, nationality/availability; also when MZ has awarded team money with Tours - it makes people more generous/loose/clever with money.
If you want to win your leagues or cups so very much, then You will pay the high money, or else your opponent will buy the players.
If You sell Your Superplayers with low starting price, in hope to get like that more bidders, You take risk interested people might miss the deadline or auction (they maybe check markets for expensive players, only).
+ rich teams know the market prices much better, they value their own time, so anyways someone might bid huge money ("100K ? .. nah, time waste.. I better bid 1 mil").

Best way to judge market value of players is by regularly looking at the transfer market. Whether you are buying or not browsing what current players are selling for is always helpful.
If you’re looking to set a price for a player look at what current players similar are selling for. Follow a few transfers by using the player monitoring feature and come up with your price after.
A player is always worth what someone is willing to pay for them.

If You check strikers prices on market.. (want to sell own striker).
Lets say he has maxed 8 speed, 6 stamina, 8 shooting, 6 bc; unmaxed 4 play intelligence.
When you search players with exactly same attributes (8 6 8 6 4), you might see wrong picture about prices, better search 6-10 speed, 4-8 stamina, 6-10 shooting, 4-8 bc, 3-7 play intelligence.
