Missing Power Soccer

I completely loved this game. Think manager zone is great to and very happy to see that it has not also left us. As they seem to have made the software compatible with MAC/PC maybe that would attract more the to fanbase. I always felt the lack of player base was maybe down to the game not being pushed enough on social media platforms (e.g. youtube). Would love to hear your thoughts on this though? Yeah PS was a lot of fun, very intuitive in its' simpleness. I was one of the famous managers there, stuck on level 0 no matter how many games I was playing. It was fun to beat level 20+ with level 0. Powdersnow! I used to remember seeing a couple sweet freekicks you had on top goals back in the day when you could pull off the most outrageous curl on them. Were you a part of the management team of the game? Or just a leader of the social community? I always like the engine and the graphic style of the players and unlike any other football game you could fully personalise your team. I would always make all the names of my players the names of my football team at school I played in! Wish there was a way to bring this game back as it was such a feature of my childhood. Someone needs to start a kickstarter page or something to get it going again!

Think I used to be called nebblemann like I am on here but cannot remember for the life of me. I had a few accounts that I made when I wanted to start from scratch and fall in love with a whole new set of players with different styles of play

PS started out as a lot of fun, hit its peak for me in 2012 when they made their first major tweak of the engine. Then in 2013 it really started going downhill with the Pay2Win format (it went from 2 free games a day to CM only) which lost a lot of its userbase. I understand it from a business PoV, but as a player with no money of CM, it was a lost cause for me. Towards the end it went free again, but by then tracking the ball was a pain. Latency meant the ball would go everywhere around the player, main gaining possession almost impossible. My favourite memories have to be the goalkeeper glitches when you shot from long distance. From kickoff the goalkeeper for a time would run off the line allowing you to chip him with a high ball, and then on free-kicks when the goalkeeper would shield the ball with his arms, allowing for it to bounce off the post and in. Fond memories, I do somewhere on a CD have some recordings of goals burned onto them. Or the another bug, when you did a long shoot into the goalbox, while pressing on spacebar to make the gk impossible to catch the ball. :)

I used to play this game when I was younger. Me and the boys would hop on the computer and compete to be the best. I didn't play it in a while once it died out in my school, I kinda forgot about it until few months ago and I'm sad it had to see it go.I used to play this game when I was younger.

Hehe, but most of the times when you faced me you probably had no idea it was me since I liked to go incognito with a standard account (just so people would play their normal game against me). Unfortunately I don't remember you, but I must have played 20-30 000 matches or so over the years working with that game, which explains why I became pretty good I guess 😎. Even towards the end I still quite enjoyed it.

Hey man, think thats a bit harsh. The two games are run by the same company so where else would be better than to talk about a game that is no longer on a site where we will have the most interaction with others who also miss it.

Oh man Power Soccer... Getting home from school logging on my computer and heading straight to it, god, how i miss those days! I'm still sad i wasn't there for it's final days... if i could change it, i undoubtly would. In my opinion, Power Soccer had a lot of potential, for instance, being on Miniclip was a huge advantage for the game! And maybe some advertising would be a good idea, and not only those pop-up ads on sites (these tend to be ignored), but on YouTube too.Oh man Power Soccer...

They probably just keep it because they worked very hard on it, and can keep it as a keepsake of sorts I do miss the game a lot... unfortunately though, PS was built using technologies that are now considered to be obsolete, and won't be able to run on modern browsers even if they wanted to. Even the plugin used for the chatrooms (Flash) will have and end-of-life next year
