As a huge improvement I think it is smart to keep track of the history of a player. You schuld be able to see how many matches a player played in every season he was in the game and see his statistics (goals, assists, clean sheets etc.). It is also nice to see how many internional games he played. In that way it is more easy to "love" a player, you are more connected with a player.
Beside that it would be an improvement if the player values are changed. The differences should be bigger. How could a player in the sixt division almost have the same value of one in the highest leage?
Another improvement would be to upgrade the stadium page. Other online sport management games are in my opinion far more developed on this section. A little bit more diversity in options would be an imporvement. Also buildings on the medical section, merchandising and other facilities would be nice, this comes together with the animation you see. I know, maybe it is a bit silly but if you see your stadium change more and have more different buildings you feel a stronger connection with your club and with te game.
