Training question

Badge image
Hi,

I have a 21 year old keeper who just got his 10th ball in keeping to go with 8 speed and 8 stamina. Which skills should I focus on next? I figured aerial passing but wasn't sure if normal passing, play intel or ball control may be better? I haven't watched a simulator match in about 15 years so I don't really know how keepers interact with a match on the pitch these days..

Cheers.

Pi?

PI would've been the most suitable skill, but from what i've heard, PI training only reaches a good rate when a player kinda matures (say 23+ years of age). i mean, your player ain't gonna be really benefiting from training him in PI at such a young age, since PI training rate doesnt really make use young age to train faster (which is why even youths train pretty slowly in PI, while they have excellent training rates in other skills).

so, keeping this in mind, i'd say you should go for BC first, and then PI or AP. i'd prefer PI before AP, since it's going to make a lot of difference to your keeper's keeping than will AP. hope that helped.

with the current SIM "variables" P.I. is the most important skill (after keeping) (imo always)

crossing in keepers have been nerfed
control is a bit of curiosity

experiencing the erratic behaviour of my once "good" keeper (and leaving aside the "keeper random ellement(tm)"), I wouldn't dare to have a player with less than 6@ in PI as my main keeeper or lees than 7@ if I would like to have a chance against the big boys

7@ in crossing produces a mediocre % in successful passes from your keeper (nerfed)

please do tell us what you will chose :)

It seems like PI is the most popular choice so I will start there - thanks!

He already picked up his next PI ball - good for him!

It depends on the current amount of PI,if it is like 0-1,you should train it on priority, but if he already has like 3-4 it is fine for now.
