Hi
Totally new to this game, both in digital and real-life form. Have read Wikipedia article to try and understand how ice hockey is played, and I'm more or less ok with that. What I can't understand is where the four lines come in. In real ice hockey, I presume they can be changed when the coach says so, but when do they change in this game? Also, don't fully undestand teh relevance of two PP lines and box lines. Can someone please explain or point me to a link?

Thanks

Hi, the lines change when the game is stopped. The basic rule is that the line with the most stamina left goes on the ice. If you want to have an idea how it works I recommend you to watch a game in 2D viewer.

The PP lines play only when the opponent is 'shorthanded' (he has a player in the penalty box). This is the best chance to score so make sure that you have your best forwards in those lines. By analogy, the other two lines (Box Play) are ready to play whenever your player is sent to the penalty box.

Generally, I recommend you to read the beginners guide, this should give you more useful information than Wikipedia articles :) https://www.managerzone.com/?p=beginners_guide
