Potential raise in the maximum asking price?

As you may already have read in the news: (https://www.managerzone.com/?p=news&nid=90052)
A while ago we decided to raise the maximum asking price in hockey from 3 to 8 times the player value, after requests from several of our users. We have not noticed any negative impact on the hockey transfer market due to this update, and now we are considering to do a similar change in football.

Now it's up to you to decide about the potential change
You can share your opinion about a potential change in this thread, but we have also opened up a poll in the ManagerZone Federation that will be running for 7 days.

Choose between the following options:
1. No change from today = 3 times the player value
2. Change to 5 times the player value
3. Change to 8 times the player value

The poll is found in the ManagerZone Federation:
https://www.managerzone.com/?p=federations&fid=2

Note that: Additional changes related to the asking price update might be done in the future, after we have been analyzing the result of this change.

I'm all for it. Looking forward to see who becomes the first $50million transfer.

But I think it's a little discriminatory to have to pay to vote for an essential change to the game no? Why should I have to join a fed to vote? Why not just host one here?

Both the federation poll and the thoughts in the forum will be taken into consideration when making the decision.

People will still only pay what they feel someone is worth.

So people can ask for whatever they want. As pricing players above what they are worth, will still result in no bids

In relation to the maximum asking price for a player on TL (the poll launched), I believe this (whatever it results from the poll) should be doubled by a re-vamping of the valuation system, in which to assign new values to players according to the current state of things in MZ in 2017, and not from 2003, as we have now, when speed and stamina and ball control, crucial skills, are valued far less than passing or keeping or other less important skills at some point in time.

This is a good idea, think there are many who do not put out players for sale because the prize price is so much lower than the player is worth.
Vote;
3. Change to 8 times the player value

About time! :D

3. Change to 8 times the player value

But, additionally increase the fee of putting the players on the market exponentially to the asking price, up to a maximum of atleast 300 000 EUR (maybe even more).

Even with the current asking price limitation, I see too many users fishing for crazy sums by transfer listing a player for 3-4-5 times of what he is actually worth (throughout the season!!). It should hurt more financially to try and "cheat" inexperienced managers.

Amplify the transfer fee by the same amount of the mew maximum asking price.

8 times the player value = 8 times the maximum transfer fee

In my opinion the best choice is no 3:

3. Change to 8 times the player value

Change to 5 times the player value.

The change is winning, even 5 or 8 (adding both options).
I hope you've noticed that.

Regarding transfer fee exponentially increasing with the asking bid. How about having a system where you are given the transfer fee back if the player sells?

That way, there will be less transfer spamming, as you will be punished financially for doing so. And you will be rewarded for setting an accurate asking price.

If nothing is done with the transfer fee, then I change my vote to:
1. No change.

I voted for 8x.

8x was amazing on Hockey side, where player values are especially low and we players benefited from that greatly. Now, people are not afraid to sell their superstar potential players since they can ask for the money they want.

This was a huge problem for hockey where best player values are around 500K. A player in equal quality in football will easily have the player value of 1 million. However, the football economy is also stronger and more aggressive.

In conclusion, even tho I feel 5x might be enough, I am all for freedom so I voted for 8x.

I think that good player will sold that price that it earn.So no need to increase the limit.

Take away the limit. The manager should be able to set any price!! A super player with a lot of green attributes could easily be sold for more than 8 times his value. Let the manager decide all by him self so that that they dare to put these monster players on transfer!! If any issue about start price, you should change so that computer will trigger a space after three numbers, so that we wont enter the wrong price.

In Chinese Player market, there's few people who put their players on the market every day with madly high price, although no one will by his players, but he still make the market filled with useless information because he sometimes can trick newbies.

Asking f or higher price is only a benefit for market master players because most players do not know the price of their players.

Maybe they are only worth half of what you bought them for when you sell them.

People with inflated ideas about the true value of their players are only fooling themselves

The game through the years created new competitions, new tools, CT's, club members tools and with that improvements the economy of managerzone had become more and more unbalanced and spread more the rich teams and the other and with this invention of 8 plus the value of a player it get worser.
Crew should balance economy of managerzone and the profits of managerzone teams.
The stadiums should be big to managers have more profits or the tickets for seats should be bigger. The sponsors should pay much more also.
Crew with improvements through the years only raised the spenses of the teams and didn't created tools for the profits so that the economy remained balanced and not unbalanced like it is.

Perhaps if the asking price is much more higher, then the newbie manager won't be able to be tricked cause he won't have the cash to buy them!

Wouldn't adding more money to the game make player prices go even higher? I mean...inflation and all?

Here's your solution :)

1. No change from today = 3 times the player value

3. Change to 8 times the player value

The seller should be able to choose the price of his property.
The buyer accepts the price or not.

I'm not completely understanding this. You mean if I have a player worth $100k when I put him on the transfer market he will have to start at $500k? Someone explain this to me.

Re: Potential raise in the maximum asking price?

Badge image
If 5 times yes. If you sell player you can choose from 1USD to 500kUSD. This is your options.

If you have a player worth $100k he does not have to start at $500k, but that will be the maximum asking price. He can be put out for everything between $1 and $500k if he is worth $100k. As it is right now, that same player can not be put put for more than $300k.

Does that make things more clear to you?

Hello.

Regarding the change in the sales value of the players, another good solution would be to allow a manager to sell his player for up to three times his face value or 10% above the value of the last purchase (which is greater).

So if a big player (with a face value of 2 million euros) was bought by a manager for 30 million euros, then he can put up for sale for up to 33 million euros.

Hugs.
