Hi!
I have thought about this for long time and finally start a topic about it! Long story to short: Lets say you have to make a decision on whether to but 1 world class striker or two formidable ones and substitute them with each other?
Going to use my striker as example:
I consider him as formidable striker.
And I'm considering my options on market and would like to know what you guys think: whether to buy 1 striker who is a beast or buy second formidable striker and use that as Yongs substitute?
Same question can be asked about other positions as well, exept for goalkeeper as goalies can not be substituted.

What is the point of substituting when they have enough stamina?

budget wise, buy 1 beast and pray against cards/injuries
tactical wise you always need a back up, but since MZ is not real life fussball and considering you have an u23 team...no need to buy a 2nd "formidable" striker for the late 20mins of game
Also I'm with bestplaymaker2134, so far haven't noticed any "major" performance loss towards the end of the game from players with 9@+ stamina (I'm playing with no subs rules)

If no subs than at the end of the game there is tired striker(s) vs tired defender(s)! Subbing forwards will in theory give advantage to forwards as they face tired defenders!
Great example is World Cup 2017 match between Estonia and Brazil. Brazil striker who was subbed in hit a hattrick in 10 minutes vs tired defenders.

Considering all the changes that happened in the game, a player only needs 8 stamina to (theoretically) make it until the 90th minute with the full strength of his balls (90 minutes, one ball "used" every 10 minutes + 1 ball re-gained at break). After that the only effect is that he plays like he had one ball less in all his skills...
I rarely use subs and I don't consider this as a budget-friendly choice since added salaries of two good players for the same position is surely going to be higher than one bigger salary for a beter player. 20-25k euro tops for a good striker is better than 2x15k euro.
However, there are times and matches where subs seem to make a difference so all above said maybe useless...

I belive stamina and speed work similar to image above! Higher player stamina = slower it runs empty.Higher speed = more faster can player run.
Now if - lets say two players with all same skills - are subbed at second half at some point, than he should perform better(than player who was subbed off) theoretically just because his stamina bar is more full! and he has to face tired defenders!

what about when you play against the same team/players/tactics and in one match your players run like Bolton and in another they run like a 45 year old Bolton?
how does the stamina/speed work then? oh wait...I forgot all about the RNG...
problem solved :P
from statistical point of view, so far, the majority of matches against same caliber opponents that used subs (not lousy ones) have ended in my favour (draw/win after being behind in score)
If I had the budget to have a "formidable" sub I would use him for sure,
but since I'm not playing the extra long game (ie let the team on autopilot, gather 20-40mil in the bank, then buy top tier players and do a title sweep until they become old and then start all over again), I prefer the high stamina/beasty/no subs approach

Evosa,
You are thinking this not knowing this. What I said above is based on several threads and direct discussions with many top managers and Crew members as well. So let me say that even though things should be like you say, they are not!
