you'll be surprised. I don't really remember but way back then, there was a thread like this before with some guy mentioned about the most expensive player ever. I thought it was Argentinian player or something, didn't really remember the details on that. Perhaps others can shed some light.

Hector Sugar, the biggest name in ManagerZone 3 years ago! He was a fairly decent player, but never worth 24 million. The funny thing? After his world record transfer? HE WAS SOLD SEVEN DAYS LATER at an 8 MILLION loss. Bless Mutanty z Czarnobyla's wallet... xD

Hector Sugar was

10 in speed, stamina, shooting and ball control

8 in Heading

The rest I can't remember.

Their was recently a 21 year old striker with 10 speed, stamina, shooting and 9 ball control that sold for roughly 21-22 million AUD

But compared with the ridiculous money spent on Hector I glad the market has come to some sense

Money to be made everywhere in this game. A lot through the transfer market and a lot through only having youths and keeping expenses very low for seasons and then you have a war chest of funds. Not how I like to play the game but a lot do

Re: MZ World Record transfer fee

I've been playing less than 2 years and I've racked up 4m finally. My whole squad made up of youths.

It's took a lot of time on the market. Training players and selling for the right price however.

It's definitely not easy

Now that youth players aren't progressing as well or being drafted. Mediocre players are costing more.

It's hard while trying to maintain a proper first team. I sacrificed mine due to the wing meta. So now I've got a load of players at 19-23 to build.

It's not been easy gaining these funds but tbf. It only buys me maybe 3 world class players so bridging the gap is stupidly high. I'd need 40m to even attempt it.

Yeah, currently with $161,627,700 AUD

That about $112,088,810 Euro

or

$115,076,821 US Dollars

I develop a bunch of players (20-30) to about the age of 23, decide they have no future as senior players, sell everyone and start again with 16 year olds. Rinse and repeat. You'll have money coming out your proverbial backside.

One day I'll build a team, but I'm waiting for a generational talent (striker, defender, midfielder, winger) to come through my youth academy. Not a keeper as they are easy to find and develop.

Ideally a striker (Like a Boyde Minne or Murdock Rizzardo) someone to make a real difference to the score sheet.

But, since the Youth revamp the chances of that happening are even lower than before.

Yeh I was going to ask the other day how the funds were coming along! Crazy times! Hanzo when he was winning the top league for fun and a lot of official cups starting 11 cost $115 million AUD add it a few substitutes and account for inflation and bingo.

Had a top team, they mostly retired. Sold off some of the remaining players which didnt graduate from my youth academy and built a war chest all the while still remaining competitive.

I've also been playing less than two years, and my total player value if sold today + money in the bank, would be around $30M. So I don't know how you've only managed to accumulate 4M, but maybe you don't count player values?

Your squad value is not money in the bank . Just because a player is worth 1 million does not equate to money .
