MZ under new management (not really)

The original title of the thread was: "the power of Kangaroo jokes."

It appears that Pattrick pulled a Brexit on us, or should I say MZexit, as it seems that he is no longer part of the crew team. He got tired of them kangaroo jokes (the power in them, eh?) and left the crew. Fair enough, we wish him well.

You may recall that I predicted not long ago, that pattrick will no longer be crew, on the 15th anniversary thread. I'm going to get myself a thropy for this. Donations are welcome.

Now that it looks like thunder took over Patrick's responsabilities (congrats?), I have some serious questions for the crew about the game.

Where is the game going, what is the vision? Is Patrick's departure related to Donald Trump win of election? Does thunder know any good kangaroo jokes?

What strategy do you think the new (hi aik) and remaining crew team should pursue, to ensure a long and prosper era of MZ?

Since my prediction was right, I'll go first.

It has to be to attract new users. Unrelated, but the other day, there were only 3 Canadian players on the domestic transfer list. That's low, I believe we don't have that many active managers anymore.

I have a feeling the mobile market will help attract more users. It's right for them to optimize the website for mobile, but I am not sure if it's enough. I believe an app, for starter even if like a basic browser that redirects to the website, might give them some exposure.

An app on the apple store or google play might open up a new market for MZ. Some users are used to pay for the apps, so reasonable priced CM subscriptions might increase. If they don't pursue this avenue, I don't see a bright future ahead.

Please don't discuss pattrick's departure any further, or the FBI police will close this thread.

I think we have similar ideas on what needs to be top priorities. ManagerZone is a great game but we believe that we have just scrateched the surface of what ManagerZone can be. Both in terms of the game features but also in terms of the user base.

Our main focus in the short term will be on converting new users into active ones, and to make ManagerZone mobile friendly. In the not to far future we will give you and the rest of our community a more detailed plan on where we want to go and how we want to get there.

I am working on my kangaroo jokes! :)

Leave it to a beaver (or moose) to create the kangaroo jokes...that way it is in good hands.

Hail to the Mounties.

So I guess Patrick has not been erased at all...

PS: Good luck, Thunder, and hope you take Patrick's work and especially his dreams of development and make it a better reality!

PS2: You can start by appointing Aemi the new Crew Court jester - I believe it's high time he gets recognition for his funny... nothings!

Thank you thunder for working on the kangaroo jokes. This waiting period is exciting.

I hope the community will offer their perspective on how they think MZ should go forward as well, the more input the more chances to spot a great idea. Though I'm sure you guys are doing great as it is.

I've heard rumours that pattrick left because he was offered a top position under Trump's administration. Go figure.

I don't think there are any Romanians abroad, right?

Big natural disaster in Romania: 100,000 unfortunate people perish.
Immediately, countries around the globe offer aid:

US: Trump's son to replace the Romanian president
Canada: 100 tons of supplies, including moose meat and maple syrup
Russia: Moldova (just kidding)
England: nothing, they have Brexited, no love
Australia: Two kangaroos with instructions on how to breed them and start a farm
Italy: 200,000 Romanians
