Deteriorations start to early

Badge image
I think the deteriorations are starting to early with the age of 28. Most players are in the best form of their carrier at this age but in this simulation they already start to lose quality. In real life the opposite is true. Please delay the deteriorations to start no earlier than 30.

It is how it is(I like them actually - I think I am only one :P)..In my opinion they should keep detoriations, but change the mechanics of how experience work. Right now there are players aged 25-26 who have 10 experience. I mean its not logical that 25 year old and 35 year old have same experience level :P

I guess my only gripe with the current system is that on the first day of each new season, any player automatically drops a ball in Speed/Stamina - I actually dreaded yesterday! Is there any way that the Crew could explore this, and maybe give managers a day or two to set up physios for such players to work that issue out?

Do let me know your thoughts, guys.

Sim counts partial skill bars..So visually when 8 speed/stamina player loses "ball" they actually lose 1/4 of that skill and player performs 7 3/4 in sim.And that 1/4 can be regained with psyhos. althou if you try to sell him than others dont see partial skill bar :/

28 and 29 year olds can just retrain the skill with the use of a physio and have that lost skill ball back in 1 day. unfortunately, you are going to lose 2 balls in 2 days when the player turns 30 and there's not much you can do about that.

just to amend evosa's point slightly. the Sim will treat a player as though he has 7.97 skill balls. the quarter bars is just an approximate visual representation for managers because everybody felt that a player was going from 8.0 balls to 7.0 balls in one day and that was simply not the case.

I agree with you whole heartedly - have a player max in experience around 27-28 years old so that the beginning of deteriorations isn't as big of a hit.

I've always been agitated by the argument that a player "reaches his peak at 28 years old" because that is EXACTLY the representation that is being used. Hire a physio for the star player and you get 2 years of "PEAK" performance out of them. But the word peak is used to describe a player at their ABSOLUTE BEST and right now, players are at their best at 27 with the option to extend that through their 28th and 29th years. Three years of peak play is very realistic too. A player with a 1/2 year of deteriorations under their belt is still very close to being at his best - it doesn't make him useless. People seem to think that once a player has 1 day of deteriorations their career is over.

With experience not fully developed until player is 25-27 yrs detoriations is to early in todays game.

One of the two should be removed

1. With experience removed the players actually skills make him what he is. He will not be a complete seniorplayer until 25 anyway because of the number og balls he will have. But he will be able to contribute to the firstteam from an much earlier age, in that case the detoriations will not ruin the players best years so much.

2. With detoriations removed the player will not be fully firstteam player until 25-27 yrs because experience will not be 9-10 before that age. And the player will have a prolonged career on top before retiring because of non-existing detoriations.

In my viem is the combination of theese two elements "ruining" the possibility for keeping good, top players and teams for no more than a few seasons. And that is kinda sad, when you see how long time or how much money you need to make a topteam.
The distance between top experience and detoriations is way to short.

If Mz argument is that new users more easily can make the top, that is probably correct. And so the percentage of new users who stays in the game and plays for years should increase. But I think that everyone who has stayed in the game for some years and been building up money or players for an eliteteam, will many of them in the end quit after they have spent their money or players. Because the bank is empty, and the "old" 29+yrs players is worthless. And in that case, the percentage of old Mz gamers that have loyally supported the game for years and years eventually quit.

I have a hard time seeing how this strategy really can be beneficially to the game called Managerzone.
