Youth Custom Setup

Could anyone who has used the Youth Custom Setup function share his/her experience? Are the youths you get with the custom setup good or bad? better than normal youths?Could anyone who has used the Youth Custom Setup function share his/her experience? the new youths that come in are SUPPOSED to be trained to a level that reflects their age. i personally think that the youths that i train are much better. mainly because i don't train things like heading, passing, player intel & set plays first. with the youths from the customization, there is no guarantee what skills the youths will have trained in. generally speaking, my 18 year olds have now either maxed or are close to maxing (basically 8+) in speed and they have at least 2 other skills that are usually over 5 (ie - stamina and shooting are 5+). my experience with the customization is that the 18 year olds that you get will not be trained anywhere close to this level. my 18 year old selection is not that great because i trade them in fairly quickly if they get an early maxing, but below are 3 players and all 3 of have just started their 3rd training camps (ie - 2 have 20 days left of training and 1 has 27 days left). as stated above, a 3rd year player that you bring in will almost definitely NOT look as good as these players [fpl=196429816] [fpl=196459872] [fpl=196365459]the new youths that come in are SUPPOSED to be trained to a level that reflects their age. i personally think that the youths that i train are much better. mainly because i don't train things like heading, passing, player intel & set plays first. with the youths from the customization, there is no guarantee what skills the youths will have trained in.

On my first experience, i ordered 16 youths 2 weeks before they turned 19. Half were maxed and in the next few weeks, i got down to 2 players. They are now in the U21 NT and they worth over 10 mil euro. Second time i ordered them in the beginning of the season and it's almost a disaster. Youth Customization has ups and downs, but i will use it anyways, every 2 seasons, ordering in the last few days of the season 58,60,62... this way they can play for NT. No more millions spent developing the youths and faster graduation. I can make a plan on how to do it right ( my pov ) CheersOn my first experience, i ordered 16 youths 2 weeks before they turned 19. I must admit I have never attempted anything like what aurelrabei is saying. I have always ordered at the beginning of the season. Also, I believe they recently changed the quality of players in the customization to more accurately represent a 3rd year player. I'm also surprised he got players with maxed skills. Any time I have ever ordered, they have always been well balanced players with few to no stand out skills. That is one of my issues, when they come in balanced, you really have no idea what position they are best suited for and you don't know if they are going to have a bad maxing (ie - 6 speed). I have exchanged multiple 17 year olds because of early maxings. Luckily you can do this early in their careers so you haven't wasted a bunch of money training them. I'd be very agitated if I was paying senior wages and then paid for a senior training camp only to find out the player had no chance of making my team.I must admit I have never attempted anything like what aurelrabei is saying. If I have 21 youths right now and then order 10 youths via custom setup, will all my 21 youths leave the club and be replaced by the 10 new guys. It's called custom. You have 3 sliders for every group age. You can select how manny of each season you want. @ozteam you cannot order 10 new youths, unless you reduce the number of the existing ones. When you reduce the number of 16's and 17's you will create more spaces for the 18's.It's called custom.

I need to write this down, at least for my future in MZ. I have tried Custom Youth Setup. Extremely disapointing. - you cannot downsize any of the 3 categories (16/17/18) unless ALL of its members are out of TC, so you need strictly timing. - you do not control who you get rid of (except by age), so you could fire your Golden Boy, this is russian roulette! - new youth is blocked for transfer for 9 real months (!?), which means if you call 17 or 18 yo you rather fire him, unless you hold him long term. - new youth may be fully trained, but their Highest and Lowest potentials are random and the 18’s could come with ugly maxings, making them useless from the start. - nevertheless, it is costly. Youth Exchange is by far a much better solution.I need to write this down, at least for my future in MZ.

Never again will I use the custom youth setup. I did max third year youths and they clearly had never been to a training camp, some of them looked like they had never kicked a football before. I immediately closed my youth academy and fired every single one of them. Probably 80% were maxed at 5 or 6 speed or stamina rendering them pointless. The others were so far behind where my normal third year youths are, they were not worth keeping. My advice, don't bother.Never again will I use the custom youth setup. It’s not effective getting 18 year olds because they are so far off the pace of normal 18 year olds. I’ve found it best getting all 17 year olds, then you still have time to do a heap of exchanges and have a really good 17/18 year old team come the next season.
