Tactics

Hi. I'm having a hard time figuring out what tactics to use and what kind of formations. Since I'm new I know little about what works and not, but one thing that I've noticed is that you rarely see the usual e.g. 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formations. Is there any tips, or what to think of? If it helps my current teams, have good speed, stamina and overall good at passing and aerial passing. Tackling is also a strong part. / OlichorHi.

Hi olichor, Welcome to Managerzone. Tactics are really a bit of trial & error You should look at your opponents previous matches and see what tactics worked well against them and try something similar. You could also play a scout match against your upcoming opponent and play a few scout matches against other teams of a similar standard to yourself and see what works best for your team. And you could play 'test tactic' matches, using the same players on both teams, but with different setups, to see what tactic works best against each different tactic. You could also play friendlies and try different tactics in each of them. Hope this helps Good luck.Hi olichor,

Alright, thank you for you're answer. However, if I for instance take this picture as an example. Why would something like this work (for the yellow team) and not a more "common" formation?
