I believe that there should be 2 NC Coaches: 1 for the U21 Team and 1 for the Adult Team. The advantages are that more people get a chance to coach a National Team and that way we can also have a big U21 as well as a big Regular National Team Cup each Season. It also allows for newer members to obtain needed experience coaching a National Team (the U21) before moving up to trying to coach the National Team (Adult).
It could be done by letting the runner up in the Elections coach the U21 or preferaby having two separate elections. A U19 or U18 National Team could also be added to the Uxx National Teams as well.

Wrong forum section, can an A move this to Suggestions and Improvements?
I personally welcome this idea as it involves more people into the national set up and allows a more enhancing experience to the game.

I agree. Plus less workload for a NT manager who currently has to look after both teams at a time.

I'd keep things the way they are, as having one coach allows for continuity across both in terms of knowing the squad and players available or talent coming through the that could become senior team players.
The reality is that many nations have an NCA designated to running the U/21's and the NC takes care of the seniors. But giving the NC more option to allow NCA's more power would be a good thing

I think its a great idea, and as stated above, it gets more people involved in the national set-up.

Scruttino, I understand your idea (I'd keep things the way they are, as having one coach allows for continuity across both in terms of knowing the squad and players available or talent coming through the that could become senior team players.) BUT implementing the dual coaches would not prevent the NC from following the Uxx players in search for future talent. Also by being independent from the NC, the Uxx NC can implement his own ideas and not be unduly pressured by the NC, thus allowing for his own development as a coach and allowing new ideas to be tested, etc.

Any comments from CREW on this suggestion?

my general thinking on the matter is that the Uxx is kind of a warm-up tournament so that the manager understands what exactly they're doing and can get their legs under them in time for the big show.

Yes, this would be good! Rather than NC and an Assistant, I wouldn't mind one for the Senior and another for the Youth squad! (Take a look at the England U21 team - It's pretty much dead!)

Why not also U17, U23 , U25 and U27 national team ?
Let's make an NT for everyone.
You must be joking.

I think this is a decent idea as long as a manager can run for and be elected for both. The NC will be able to see all players either way and view the U21 side.
