Man City - Best cheats in the world?

Already got punished for FFP rules but they've got a hugely elaborate plan to get around it now...

Would have to say I completely agree with Wenger that it does seem like a way to get around the FFP rules. If NYC and Melbourne City start buying good players and loaning them back to Man City it'll be pretty obvious since no good player would ever join MLS or A-League until their career is dead...

They found a loophole n r using it. All clubs wld try something or the other to get around restrictions. PSG getting players on loan to buy next season. FFP is new n as it is with new things. It always has loopholes to be rectified

But where are those clubs going to get the money to pay for those players in the first place?

Lampard was out of contract, so there was no fee. But for most of the players, a fee would need to be paid, which would have to be clawed back somehow through the loan deal.

The Man City owners would have to actually start buying the obscure clubs around the world in order to purchase these players and loan back to Man City. At which point UEFA will find a conflict of interest rules to stop them circumnavigating it.

Aren't Man City part-owners in New York City FC anyways? - Seems like a massive conflict of interest.

Eddie.

That's the whole problem. They are buying other clubs and it looks like they'll use it to feed Man City outside the FFP rules (MLS and A-League aren't subject to UEFA rules).

I think their are extraordinary circumstances to the case. New York City do not play for 6/9 months. Lampard refused to go to Australia so the only option to keep him fit is to get him training in Manchester. I can't see him getting games at Man City. He is well past his sell by date.
