over a decade and no change

Badge image
I first came to managerzone in 2003 or 2004 not entirely sure. I left the team after becoming bored and said my goodbyes. The other day i decided to see what managerzone is like now....dissapointed.. looks exactly the same apart from now having to pay to do ordinary things. I will not be staying. Thanks

I was here in 2003/2004.

It looks nothing like (well, not unless you tried the retro theme) and is completely different.

What did you expect? Golf?

Goodbye.

Of course there are some similarities, granted:

It's still football.
Teams are still split into Leagues to play matches.
You can buy and sell players on the transfer market.
Players still have attributes (exactly the same ones in fact)
The analyser still exists

Of course, if the game is still going 10 years after you got bored, it's probably doing something right and doesn't need to fundamentally change.

Pardon me. "No Change?"

Let me just list a few changes since... let's say 2005:

  • 512 Cups also 64 cups as a result, which had a $1000 prize for the winners.
  • Start up fee removed. Game becomes free to join.
  • Training Camps are introduced.
  • 3D presentation of matches becomes a reality.
  • New league structure. 8 teams becomes 12. Wednesday becomes a League match day.
  • China added.
  • New 3D that supports more graphic-cards.
  • New in-game currency, Power Tokens.
  • Instant match and tactic-test implemented.
  • Tactic editor improved.
  • F, G & H Tactic Slots added.
  • Uxx cups implemented. An increase in new cups.
  • Design gets updated (twice).
  • Default tactic for competitions introduced.
  • Oxx and Uxx Friendly Cups Introduced
  • New Database server.
  • Training Camp slots increased to 6, including 3 free Youth places.
  • Uxx Official Cups.
  • New 2D-Live.
  • Updates to player transfer and squad pages.
  • New Friendly League trophies.
  • Youth Can be named.
  • Tactic editor updated. Alternative tactics now possible.
  • Training Graphs.
  • New Coach System.
  • Youth Leagues Introduced.
  • Training Field limit was increased to 35
  • Youth Exchange is introduced.
  • Default tactics for Youth Leagues.
  • Training Graph option added to Transfer Market.
  • Retired Players can become Coaches.
  • New Profile badges.
  • Club Ambassadors are introduced.
  • Federations are introduced.
  • U23 League is added to the Youth League system.
  • Tactic slots I and J added. It is now also possible to rename tabs.
  • Notifications are here.
  • Cup results layout change to offer the option to toggle between fixture list or tournament tree
  • Guestbook WFO added
  • League navigation updated.
  • Work Permits added. Countries divided into three regions, depending on the quality of their transfermarket. Numbers of Work Permits available dependent on which country/region you belong to.
  • Firing limit increased to four players pr 24 hours.
  • Training 2.0 released for Season 48
  • Youth Conditioning Camp introduced for Youths who are brought in outside the first youth window.
  • ... and 6 New Sims

If you were truly here from the 2003/04 era you'd have to pay to play the game in the first place, so coming back to it when it's free isn't good enough for you? With all these changes (Source: http://enwiki.managerzone.com/History_of_ManagerZone that's right, I didn't even quote all of it)

Ultimately this thread is not a Suggestion or a way to Improve the Site, it's a troll. Close?

If you have any suggestions to improve the site then that's very welcome here.
However, in all your previous messages combined here, there was not an attempt to make a suggestion to improve anything, hence my reaction.

I assumed you had already left but as you have not this must mean you have something to say, what would you like changed?
