League play-off attendance and income

It seems appropriate that attendance and income for home League play-off matches should be equivalent to or more than regular season league games. We see increases in both as a team moves to the next stage in a cup series, as well as the reality of the idea in real professional sports, so why not?

Play-offs are just a way of sorting out the league. It would be unfair if teams which finished 8th and 9th got a massive financial advantages compared to 6th and 7th (or the 3 relegation places) and teams which finished 2nd and 3rd earned much more than the winner.

In real professional sports the attendances like this are obviously down to human nature, in an online game, it is unfair.

good reply mos,i first looked at this as wheric, and could see why 2-3 teams should get same as a league game but split between both teams as some teams play 1 home game and some 2 so a 50/50 split would be fair, then reading mos reply i then thought why pay teams money(8-9) who are trying to stay up in the divison,so to be fair its best left as it is,

Are yes but 8-9 play off against 2-3 and teams go up and down through the cycles of rebuilding so that doesn't argument doesn't really convince me. I think it would all even itself out in the end, but a 50/50 income split may negate what others think is an unfair advantage. I'm all for playoff games receiving more income, as they are a lottery where a swimming can be fatal, so teams aren't likely to tank for the extra revenue either.

Especially as teams overall ages will be coming down and rebuilds will become more frequent, more teams will fluctuate leagues and league positions more often. So the finances will be spread out more widely than people who make the unfair argument think.

Currently I'm building a team and find myself in the A-League playoffs for the second consecutive season. But even if I wasn't, I would still argue that playoff game attendance and income should go up
