PS4/Xbox One Graphics Comparison

Just finised watching a video on IGN coparing the two next gen consoles.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lspjyu31Joo Been debating alot lately whether to stick with PS4 or go over to the dark side.. I think they're basically the same graphics. I'll happily sit back and see how it pans out in terms of prices and exclusives. After a PS1 and PS2 (probably still the best console ever), last generation I went for Xbox 360, based on (1) pads (I really don't like the PS3 pads) and (2) price (the Xbox was cheaper and I wasn't fussed about the Blu-Ray playing bonus/price-premium). Whichever slightly edges the graphics doesn't matter at all to me, I really don't need them to be better than 360-level.I think they're basically the same graphics. I'll happily sit back and see how it pans out in terms of prices and exclusives. well, PC comes first, but after that the PS4 is the better console, Microsoft loses this battlewell, PC comes first, but after that the PS4 is the better console, Microsoft loses this battle

I have not spoken to a single one of my friends/colleagues that will be buying the Xbox 1, PS4 seems to have everyone on its side. Halo isn't as popular in the UK as it is in the US. I don't really know the economies of the gaming industry, but I'm preetttyy sure the whole of Europe and Asia are leading to PS4. The xbox one does not appeal to me at all. Honestly, Halo has really died off in American also. Bungie really bombed it with Halo 3, ODST, and Reach, meaning they gave the rights to create the game to 343 Industries. Unfortunately, many people lost faith in the game and are not willing to take the risk.. Even though Halo 4 was by far the best since the original. Most of the people I have talked to here want to go the PS4 route. I don't blame them, Microsoft always seems to have a bunch of problems with their consoles for the first couple of years, so PS4 is probably more reliable, and I would go with it if not for Halo.

As far as I know, Amazon seem to be the best for on day delivery and RRP. Game and other specialised places will do great deals too, like trade ins and combo deals, they'll also allow you to rack up points on a game card (or equivalent) which can get you discounts/freebies. But you don't want to spend an extra 20 pound on a combo of games you'll not play... Just look online for it.

Own a PS4, and must say it's immense. Someone at college was trying to sell the Xbone to one of the class mates, telling him it's better than the PS4. He slated the PS4 for its touch pad and used the voice feature on Fifa to make a substitution as a selling point. Over priced gimmicks. PS4 are getting the better of the console exclusive games and it's been designed with indie designers in mind, so expect some hidden gems to appear on the PS4 from time to time. Also, end of 2014 expects a release of the PS4 Virtual Reality headset, imagine playing war games with that, looking around the surroundings as naturally as you would in a field.Own a PS4, and must say it's immense. I've been on the clunky XB1 since release and would agree with most of what you've said there. The overpriced novelties are disappoint. Should really have got a Playstation in hindsight, but meh. I can't remember where I saw the exclusives list, but the PS4 had far more and they all seemed much more interesting. Given, this isn't an argument of fact, but an argument of opinion. Also, with the PS4 designed for indie developers, like I say, expect some hidden gems on the PS4 from time to time, and expect them to be exclusives as well. Xbone has the voice feature, but so does the PS4, the only difference really is that they are switched off when in game for PS4, so you can chat with friends and say "Playstation" without having to be careful with what you say after it. The pad also has a light bar on it, so I'd expect some games to be either developed purely for PS4, or designed to be compatible for Xbox and PS4 but with the good features on PS4 only. The consoles are pretty similar otherwise, they both do what I want them to, play online games. I stuck with PS4 because I'm loyal (I've been on o2 since it took over BT Cellnet on my mobile lol) and I prefer the pad. Also the outlook for the PS4 holds more potential, the Xbox is pretty much an updated Xbox 360 with just a couple of enhancements with the Kinect, the pads are similar, etc. The PS4 has introduced a touch pad and light bar on the pad and improved the analogue sticks.
