Amalgamation
By mattsadler - 14-09-2013 13:44
Maybe start combining countries that have a low user base. England, Wales and Scotland could be British Isles. More competition in the leagues, higher user base means more players on the transferlist, more activity in the forums, more players for the NT to name a few.

I 100% agree with this. Im SSL now and would be much lower in a British League but the competition and game would be far better.

I am agree too, its an interesting idea, looks like many managers will be agree with you.
Crew should keep the game competition alive also for countries with less active users.
Managers want to get targets to reach and motivation.
I can imagine that it takes a lot of resources to do it in whole MZ, take Great Britain as a pilot phase, to try how the result will be.
I hope this league will be reality soon.

It would be great actually. I agree with Matt, Brian and Robok. Make us pilots. I'm rather sure that neither one of us here would disagree. It can't really get any worse?
And besides. It would be fun having to actually run for NC.

I have placed this suggestion in the Admin forum
Dear MZ gods, MZ hockey has such a low user count maby it's time to follow real life leagues for hockey. Scotland N. Ireland Wales and England do not have enough users individually to make the League pyramid system work.
If we were all the same League/Nation it would make it much more exiting. Surely it would not be too hard to encode these nationalities all in to one?
I believe the community is behind this idea too. It would be good for business.
As a trail this could then extend to Scandinavian Super League, Central Euro League, South Euro Super League, East Euro Super League, African Super League, Asian Super League and American Super League.
Even if you had to keep nationalities this overall idea could still work if you open transfers between those leagues as non foreign. (Scottish team could buy 20 Welsh players and still sign full foreign limit) This would allow no club in given league an advantage.
This would make hockey far more enjoyable
Best regards

yeah its not a bad idea, i just think that the limit of british isle players should be enough to fill one tactic slot. the only disagreement i have is that manager zone should not become regional based, and this should not affect the NT as it might create several unfair advantages from abundance of players. Iam for the idea as long as it benefits the league system only and the transfer market only.
i would also like to ask, isnt this idea similar to MZ country?

There is no Scottish National Hockey team in real life. or Wales Ireland and England. But there is a team GB.
MZ country is for users with no country in game like Japan

I like this idea, I've suggested it a couple years ago, along some other things aiming to the same place
A common market would also be helpful
And the last suggestion was to completely remove the foreigners limit in every country, wich may bring fairness to every user in every country

Hockey needs this. I can only imagine the amount of users it has lost due to inactive clubs

Would love it if Australia was a part of the merger.
We have less than 10 users (if that?) playing the game, and only really a 4-5 teams that are competitive. I'd love to see all English speaking countries merged personally.

this is a great idea, i would prefer to play in a lower league and having more competition in game
i would make the same countries like in the uxx leagues together, this solution would make the game much more interesting, but national team should still be like it is now

In RL, teams from Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia and Italy (and Croatia U20) are playing in Austrian league (EBEL).
Yes, give us EBEL, please!

Agreed!
And I agree with the merger idea wholeheartedly. Our National Cup already has England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales competing together, a collective UKI league would be great.
Of-course, a lot of league shuffling will have to happen but I really wouldn't mind dropping from England's SSL to a UKI Div1 in order to see this happen.

Northern Ireland has 1 active user.. If they don't want to put UK & Ireland together, at least the 2 Irelands would be a start.

good idea. we anyway have very less managers here in india. but i'm definitely against the same being done for NT teams. i mean, for eg even if the UK, Ireland, Scotland etc etc merge with one top league, i think they should retain their separate countries when it comes to National Team events. what are your peoples' thoughts on that ?
