Invites are out for the MZUSA North v South Lower Values FL. Trying to keep team top 11 values under the $10M threshold (those with higher values would be placed in the Upper Values tier). Still need a couple of southern teams to get to eight from each region.

In the upper values FL 11 of 16 teams have signed on. Willing to send out additional invites to qualified teams (top 11 values of $10M+). Currently have 5 northern and 6 southern teams which have signed on.

There was a mistake when the first one started and the teams only played each other once. I am working on getting together a new one with more teams (were only 7 in the first) which I hope to start soon.

@fernandiuxz: invite has been sent for MZUSA North v South FL. Had to move kbssa-costa to the northern side as there had already been eight southern sides accepting their inivtes. Works better that way, now all the Virginia teams are playing for the same region instead of being split.

For the North v South Upper Values 13 of 16 slots are filled. Still need to get 2 more northern sides with top 11 values over $10M.

For North v South Lower Values 7 of 16 slots are filled. Need 3 northern and 5 southern sides with top 11 values below $10M.

In case you hadn't noticed. The upper values FL of the North v South competition has started. Unfortunately, it auto started before the last northern team could join in so it is not 8 v 8.

Representing the Southern cities are: Talleres U.S., BUITRES FC, Santos FC, Operation Heerenveen, S.D. Bajen, C. A. Ituzaingó, AC Fort Lauderdale, and REAL ALIANCIUXZ.

Representing the Northern cities are: Creekers, NaGly AtaK KoPaCzA, Philadelphia Eagles F.C, Quazz Imperial, New England Minas, Hewlêr SC, and Atherton.

Value-wise things are tilted a little in favor of the Southern cities with their 8 teams having a combined total top 11 value of $95.6M and the 7 northern teams having a combined top 11 value of $81.5M. Most of that gap can be attributed to being a team down, but there is still an advantage.

It will be interesting to see whether tactics can provide the North with enough of an advantage to out battle the South.

fernan...some mighty strong company you have to keep pace with.

The real life USA National team qualified for the World Cup. YooHoo!!! At the beginning, I really didn't think we were strong enough to qualify.

I was actually kind of suprised when looking at some of the top 11 values on mzstats. I would have been in the top group as well as I rate just over $10M. Not sure if all teams are able to field all 11 of their top 11 at once though. I know that I have several very valuable strikers which skews my top 11 value, but obviously can't put all of them on the field at once.

OK, we've got 8 northern teams for the lower tier but still need 4 southern teams with top 11 values under $10M. Time is running out before the FL auto starts.

Top tier has started and first two rounds have been played. I'll be doing the numbers to see how the competition is going and will have an update early next week.

Hey hey, we're back!

For those who care, with a quarter of the inter-regional matches played in the upper league the Northern teams hold a 61% to 29% advantage over the Southern teams, with 10% of the games ending tied (3 matches). This league is in the 7th round.

In the lower league, with less than 10% of the inter-regional matches played the Southern teams hold a 67% to 17% advantage over the Northern teams, with 17% of the games ending tied (1 match). This league has only completed 2 rounds so far.

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

I care. Thanks for the report. Wish there was a way to show in the tables who is south and north. Maybe a heading at the top of each table. If I had the list of who's who, maybe I could do something like that.

dowo: Maybe you could put a two column list under each leagues table. Here is the list for the upper league-
Representing the Southern cities are: Talleres U.S., BUITRES FC, Santos FC, Operation Heerenveen, S.D. Bajen, C. A. Ituzaingó, AC Fort Lauderdale, and REAL ALIANCIUXZ.

Representing the Northern cities are: Creekers, NaGly AtaK KoPaCzA, Philadelphia Eagles F.C, Quazz Imperial, New England Minas, Hewlêr SC, and Atherton.

For the lower league, this is the break down:

North
Dunav United
HISPANO F.C.
Indianapolis
River Road AFC
The Baying Wolves
Jobo United
Carolina Panthers FC
Rogers Park Lions FC

South
Casino Royale
McLean FC
G.S.C. America
FC SLAVIA FL

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

Thanks Erik. Got it done. Tried to do columns but the forums seem to be set for automatic left justify making it impossible to do columns.

when the season is over , day 88????

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

Badge image
fernan...season is over on day 91 which is Oct 14th.

Sure would like to see more participation, chatter on this thread.

Everybody ready for the new season with the Training 2.0 being implemented. Any thoughts on how to attack the ITC's:

1. Players to train in 1,2, or 3 skills?
2. Young, middle age or old players to go first?
3. Send just 1 player first to test it first?
4. Are our expectations going to be disappointed on the earning rate of balls?
5. Do we still have a ton of questions?

Any thoughts?

And Training 2.0 is up and running! I am very excited about this new feature, it will make the game more interesting and "real" for sure. Players won't reach their peak at age 32+ anymore, but more likely around 27-28 maybe even earlier. I've never had a player older than 29 in my team as I didn't want to deal with deterioration and stuff and also didn't think it was fair all good players to be old, it just didn't make sense to me. Now everything is coming together and a new page for MZ is about to turn. Good luck to everyone in the new season and with Training 2.0, let's hope for less maxings and lots of good players coming out of our youth academies!

Bob, nope, you didn't miss it. You were in the relegation spots from A, but if we have drop outs then you might stay up. Right now 14 of 16 A league invites have been accepted. Once I get either a drop out or another acceptance then I will be able to send you the proper invite. Don't you love being on the bubble?

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

Guys I just don't get this game anymore...

I was a MLS contender 3 seasons ago, and now, with an even better team, I am in the bottom of Div. 2. Keep your eyes on the transfer market, I think it is time for me to retire, will be releasing some 1 million + players.

D2 isn't a terrible place to be. It's the highest I've managed to get so far. Also, with the new training, who knows what will happen for your players. Quality of all the teams striving to reach the top divisions seems to have increased. Not sure what the recipe for success is but hang in there. A few seasons ago I wound up in 4th after a start similar to what you are experiencing now.

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

quazz leaving...nah that can't be. You can't leave, man!!!! This game is in your blood. You will go crazy without it. Everyone gets really frustrated but find a way to break through. I know you can do it.

OK. Here's the progress on sign ups for the tiered friendly leagues. Slow going this season, I think everyone is focused on the training reports.

Bob, you are the next invite to go out. At this rate I think you may be invited to A League as I have not heard back from two of the original batch of invites after sending guestbook messages.

A League 14 of 17 invites accepted,
B League 13 of 16 invites accepted,
C League 10 of 14 invites accepted,

D League 0 of 0 invites accepted, I will be starting to send out D League invites soon. Debating with sponsoring this level again, but don't have the credits for a full 16 teams at the moment. Anyone else interested in helping out? Any of last season's participants at the D level interested in coming back if I can't front the league?

North-South Regional FL Update:

With four rounds to go in the upper league the Northern teams hold a 52% to 31% advantage over the Southern teams, with 16% of the games ending tied (16 matches). This league is in the 25th round.

The lower league has wrapped up, the Southern teams won by a 65.6% to 28.1% margin over the Northern teams, with 6.3% of the games ending tied (4 matches out of 64). Congratulations to the Southern teams and to Casino Royale for winning the league and having the high scorer: Fernand Dheedere with 55 goals.

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

Badge image
Thanks, Erik. I actually feel kind of embarrassed winning the lower league.:$ I think my team actually belonged in the upper league but dropping players and then picking up players from the market disguised my team value.

It's fine to put me in the A League. Your right about the focus being on the training. Maybe next season participation will be better. Really appreciate you putting up with organizing the leagues. You would think some of the lower division team managers would step up to the plate and participate in the lower leagues.

I'm not sure how many of them even visit the forum or Federation message board. There was definitely a greater disparity between the top and bottom teams valuewise in the lower league than there is in the upper league. It's too bad that you can only have 16 spots. Made it hared to pick a cut off point that wasn't a bit arbitrary.

New poll on the Federation site, looking for people's view about either friendly league or friendly cup with Canada and Mexico Federations.

Re: MZUSA Federation #12

Badge image
Excellent idea on the poll. Maybe this is the direction we need to take for future comps rather than the tier leagues. Even comps against other federations like we did with the French.

Still waiting on 1 for B League, 3 for C (20 invites out, 13 accepted), and there are 4 signed up for the D League from the invites sent out this morning.

There will be a wrap up of the North/South leagues in the next issue of the Zone USA.
